Anthony growled, crouching between me and the copy. He seems to think it’s the real me. Did he not see me jump?
To be fair, it was less of a jump and more being thrown by an explosion.
It does look pretty real, whoever made the copy is talented.
I slowly reach for it.
“Get away from her!” Anthony screams and hits my paw away.
I snarl back at him, causing him to shrink back a little. He’s still refusing to back down.
I can respect that. Still, I need to get him out. But actually doing it is so much easier said than done.
A puff of sparks toward the nest sets it aflame, making Anthony scream again. I take one step toward him as he makes to attack, pulling myself to my full height.
With him perpetually crouching, intimidation is high.
I’ve got it!
Okay, I need to work fast.
Quick as a flash, I grab the copy’s ankle in my mouth and run back toward the window.
Anthony shrieks and runs after me.
So close…
