Chapter 101

Chapter 95

Raymond's POV.

I was in the stadium training some students for their upcoming inter-house sports event.

This time I realized that the ratio of male sprinters to female sprinters is equal.

What's going on? I thought.

Why are there lots of female sprinters?

I thought most women weren't interested in sports so why now?

But well, I just have to keep all my questions in.

I realized that female children are now walking hard to prove themselves and sometimes I just have to accept the fact that sometimes females are better at some things than men.

I guess it's probably because whenever they set their eyes on something they make sure to have it no matter what.

It's good I have to admit.

I guess the world will be a better place if women strive to be Independent.

[ A/N: Don't you think so? ]

I was instructing the students on how to position themselves for the commencement of the race and how they were supposed to get themselves ready when my cell phone rang all of a sudden.

I took my phone out of my pants pocket.

Seeing the caller's name I Smiled before picking it up.

" Hello Little Sister, Are you missing me already? "

" Who's missing you! " She snapped.

" Oh, hold it there little sis, we aren't on the battleground alright? So chill. "

" Who's your little sis, ah? "

" You of course, as far as I can remember mom only gave birth to me and you or don't tell me you aren't my sister but a replica? "

" You...! "

" Gotcha! Anyways, why did you call me all of a sudden? "

" Why? Can't I call you for no reason? "

" Hm, you can but you won't as you are a very busy person so... "

" Anyways, I called to tell you that Lucia Jackson just got admitted to the hospital where I am working and I am the doctor attending to her. " She said.

" Wait, what! Lucia is in the hospital, why? "

" Calm down, bro. She isn't dying alright?. She just fainted from too much heat alright? "

" Oh, but why was she in the sun? What was she doing there? "

" Sorry bro but I can't answer your question as I don't know even know the answer myself. You can ask Stella yourself. "

" Oh, Is Stella there right now? "

" Of course, what kind of mother would she be if her daughter is admitted to a hospital and she's nowhere to be found? "

" Oh, I am coming there now. "

" Really? Aren't you busy currently? "

" I am but it's not as important as Lucia's health. "

" Already acting like a caring father, ah! " She mumbled.

" Whatever, I'll see you there in 30, bye. " I said and hung up.

I went over to the students and told them that I had something up and that my assistants will instruct them on what to do.

They agreed after moments of Hesitation and soon I was in my car driving to the city hospital.

---- Lucia ----

I opened my eyes.

White walls.

That was the first thing I noticed and I soon realized that I was in the hospital.

I saw my mom beside me and I tensed up immediately.

I felt very guilty.

I had made my mom worried about me.

If I had only focused on where I was going then all this wouldn't have happened.

" Lucia darling, you are awake. " Her voice rang out beside me.

" I am a mom. " I spoke rather hoarsely.

My mom immediately got me a glass of water from the dispenser and she helped me up into a sitting position as I drank the water.

" Thanks, Mom. " I replied.

" It's okay so how are you feeling now, honey? " She asked.

" Am fine, Mom. " I said.

" Am glad to hear that. "

" Mom, where's Aunt Lucy? "

" Oh, she's... "

" Someone's missing me already, uh? " Aunt Lucy's cheerful voice rang in the ward.

She walked towards me and Stood by my bedside.

She held my hands, smiled a little before she spoke up. " How are you feeling now, Lucia? "

" Am fine, Auntie. I hope I didn't make you worry too much about me? "

" Hm, not really but your mom here was feeling very guilty as she claimed that she was the one that forced you to go to school today despite you not wanting to go. "

" Oh. " I turned to face my mom. " It's not your fault mom, you only want the best for me so you shouldn't blame yourself for this. "

" Told you. "

" Okay, I won't blame myself anymore. "

" So I guess I am not invited here after all. " A manly voice rang in the room.

" Oh, uncle Raymond! How did you find out that I am here in the hospital? " I asked with surprise when I saw him in his Chelsey top and trousers.

" Well, my Sister is your Attending Doctor so she called to inform me about it. " He said.

" Oh, that's so sweet. Thanks for coming to check up on me. "

" You welcome. " He faced my mom and Auntie Lucy. " Em, Miss Jackson. Mrs. Standford. I am sorry for appearing here uninvited. " He said.

" Oh no! You don't have to apologize at all. I think we should be the one thanking you for turning up to check on Lucia despite your busy schedule, right Stella? " She said nudging the quiet Stella.

" Yes. " Stella Replied Simply.

" So I heard from my sister that you'll be discharged tomorrow. Why don't you take three days of rest after your discharge? "

" Hm, what do you say mom? " I turned to my mom.

" Well, I think it's a good idea at least you'll be able to regain your strength that way. " Stella said.

" Alright, it's settled then. " Lucy said with a smile.
