“Time to head back,” Sherry murmured as she helped Levian to his feet, her other hand reaching down to gather the scattered documents that Malfoy had left behind. “It’s almost finished,” glancing at the nearly empty IV drip, she added, “You should get a new one.”

“Sherry…” Levian hesitated as he called her name.

“Hmm?” Sherry hummed gently and raised her head to look at him.

“Let’s go home. I don’t want to stay here any longer.”

The hospital, with its sterile walls and constant smell of antiseptic, stirred up too many bad memories. He despised it all— the medicines, the doctors, the endless checkups. But if it was so difficult for him, he could only imagine how much worse it was for Sherry–to be constantly reminded of her nightmares.

“But–” Sherry started to protest. He was weak and needed to rest more.
