Where we come from

Once upon a time there lived a boy and a girl, they were both ignored by their families. The girl's parents were always in different countries leaving her all alone. The boy's father left, leaving a mother who worked all the time or well… you know. But luckily they were neighbors with their windows looking into each other, they became fast friends spending all their time together. And soon they gathered a group of friends, and they were not alone anymore. However, towards the end of elementary school they both discovered the other's intention to die. Neither wanted the other to die, so they vowed to escape the town that was crushing them and run away together. We both vowed to get better in tests, so we revised and tested each other nonstop until they were the smartest ever. Sadly life isn't that simple and the week before the test she decided to die without the boy, but I found out, and followed her up, wanting to die with her. But at the last second she pushed me back into the grasp of an adult who held me down, all I could do was watch her fall.

Sad and depressed I took out my anger on the principle, and he locked in my fate of staying here, but then the boys' sister was born, and he had a reason to live again, so he tried at sports becoming the best once again and striving for a scholarship, but he failed, then in sadness he drove his friends and the ones he cared about away heartbroken and defeated he turned to video games playing anyone he could, and that leads us to now."

"I guess you want to hear my story now?"

"That was the deal, but you don't have to."

"No, that's fine, I want to. When I was really young my parents died… From then on I was living with my grandma and I got really into games. I and some friends started streaming for fun but I kind of blew up, but that wasn't a good thing. All of my friends got jealous, and they started to burn my stuff breaking my positions saying I was well… you don't need to know every detail, but I moved here to get away from people who knew me, there was a cool retirement community for my grandma, and she let me pay rent in a house whilst living on my own which is fun but lonely, for me, I was sad to lose friends, so I tried to replace them by getting a job at the game shop, but I got so much more than that."

"A paycheck?"

"Shut up, you know I mean so stop being such a jerk!"

"Sorry, sorry, in truth I went to that store to get LSO because I thought it would fill a hole inside me and in a way it has, the people I've met because of it have made me more happy than I've been in the last three years of being on my own."

"Awwwwww maybe the tough and cool assassin has a soft side after all."

"Shhhhh don't tell my millions of adoring fans."

We sat there, in the middle of the roof sitting side by side staring at the sky, the strokes of white pirouetting through the sky in such elegance, the slow movement of the bright white patches conveyed a silent strength, the kind of sight we take for granted but for me, this was the first time I looked up in days, the sky is so beautiful, all the colors melding into a deep blue then interlocked with pure and untainted white like an entire world under an impressionist painting.

"We have lessons, and I need a nap…. Want to go?"

"Not really, but sure." I grabbed her hand as she brushed off her clothes, and we walked back inside, into the clamoring babble of speech, the haze of people all pushing through each other. The day flew by as most do, my mind racing to get home, to log back in, after the school day was over I walked over to my sister's school. Stopping by the fast food place I grabbed two burgers and continued over to the school. Wading through the swarm of children, my fears ramped in my head… where is she? I couldn't see her, so where is she? Not again… I broke through a group of children, their tiny heads parting ways to see her, my sister sitting on a step. Seeing her felt like a weight had been lifted from me, like I was a ton lighter.

"Hey big bro."

"Heey Ellie, how was your day?"

"Great."

"Awesome" I handed her the burger and walked through the crowd of children and the mist of parental glares. Once we got home I ran to my console and logged in my character loading and my body falling into a new world.

I walked into the square to the sight of my guild, all of them lined up in a row staring down at me.

"Firstly." snessy stepped out looking at me with hatred. "What the hell man, you said you wouldn't copy our skills, and then you use them in front of everyone."

"I'm sorry, if I see a skill and my slot is empty then it automatically is inscribed.

"So you copy every skill you see?"

"Pretty much."

"I can understand that in the heat of the battle you would use anything you could, but you didn't need to go overkill on that guy, dick move bro" Qom stepped forward looking at me with contempt, celty stood forward following the rest

"I really don't have a problem with you using my skill, but I'd have liked it if you'd asked."

"Look asshole you clearly think you're better than us, it's probably true, but that's not a fun environment to be in, I think I might quit if things keep going like this. It's a game but whenever you play it gets painful and difficult, you need to rely on us more, not either sit back or soloing everything, you clearly don't understand what a guild is for." Kami walked back leaving only top left. "Look man I'm not about to say what you did was alright but after knowing you I don't think you'd do something like that without reason."

"I'm sorry, I let myself get away, I got angry, and I let loose, I'll try not to use them anymore, and as for the relying on you, I'm sorry I'm a bad guild master, but I think I have a fix, you have the problem that I'm not fighting with you and that's because most of the monsters we fight are easier, so it doesn't require a challenge, but if we were to head into the demon territory then we could be the first guild in that land, that way we could set up a guild hall there, and with the influx of insanely difficult monsters we'll probably die a lot but gradually raise our levels together,"

"Wow, did you just come up with that?"

"I have no objections, with all of us together we can conquer the demon territory, plus it'll make for some more interesting streams."

"Sounds good."

"Then without further ado. THE LIGHTNING HAMMER GUILD IS HEADING TO THE DEMON TERRITORY!!!!!"

"YEAH!!!!!!!"

The shouts echoed through the town as we screamed, how could I not see this, I failed as a guild master, but I won't give up, I won't!!!
