The Urahara Family

< Should I play some boss music host? The atmosphere feels like it. > The system suddenly commented as soon as Aiden and the others entered the room.

'System, you should stop joking at such moments.' Aiden replied as he looked forward with his eyes to see his father sitting on a throne with a poker face.

Beside the throne, many small thrones were visible but no one was sitting on them. Drake's throne was pure black in color while the other thrones were of different colors.

The children had completely fallen silent as Aiden's father had a dangerous silent aura that made everyone feel pressured. Even Kisuke looked awed and his hands were twitching around his back nervously.

"Children, please bow down and greet the great demon king!" Kisuke said in a nervous tone as he followed his own words and bowed down to Drake.

The children slowly bowed down before Drake one by one until all of them were bowing down.

"You are not here to just bow down to me. You are here for an important discussion regarding the trial of worth. As all of you know, the moon wolf appeared in the middle of the trial and we had to cancel it. So because of that, we will conduct the trial of worth once again." Drake said as all of the children lifted their heads up with wide eyes.

"Don't worry, we are not going to immediately put you inside the forest. Since the other classes will also have their trial of worth, you guys will go into the forest of night again after a month." Drake added as the children looked relieved.

The reason for their worry was that the monsters in the forest would be on high alert after their leader's death. Many fights would take place inside the forest to choose the new leader of the forest and going anywhere near those fights would be extremely dangerous.

Drake also knew this and he knew that there was no point in conducting the trial in such conditions. He was first thinking of sending a team of low levels demons to clear a few monsters in the forests so that the monsters would be a little less in number.

But that would mean that the remaining monsters would be even more alert and might group together. This would leave Drake with two options, he could either let all the current monsters stay alive and have a forest full of such monsters or he could just kill a few of them and have an agitated bunch staying in the forest.

'I will have to talk to the rest of them about this.' Drake thought silently as he gestured for the children and Kisuke to leave the throne room.

But just as they were walking out of the room, they were suddenly stopped by a small crowd. There were ten members in the group and all of them looked somewhat angry.

"Uh, family head?" Kisuke suddenly asked as he looked at the person standing in front of the group.

The person was a male who looked about fifty years old. His hair were entirely white in color and his eyes were the same shade of light blue as Kisuke's. Now that Aiden looked closely, everyone in the group had the same light blue eyes.

The man had twenty inch long horns coming out from the side of his head as they went backward in a curving style. His eyes weren't focused on either the children or Kisuke but were instead looking at the back of the room.

"Drake, what was the meaning of sending that person like that even though we sent him with the message about the moon wolf?" The man asked in an ancient-sounding rough voice as Aiden turned back to stare at his dad's face.

"Kyosuke Urahara and the elders of Urahara family. What was the meaning of doing that you ask? I didn't know that you were getting more stupid with your age." Drake replied with a small smile as the group moved inside the hall and stood apart in a semi-circle formation with the old man in the middle of the formation.

Drake sighed at this as he stood up from his throne and stared at the old man.

"I know this as well as you do, even the top-level lower demon lords and all of the upper lords can easily defeat a creature as pathetic as the moon wolf. Why are all of you pretending to be weak?" Drake asked in a serious tone as the old man glanced back at the children and Kisuke.

"It's because we are weak." He replied as Drake sighed and suddenly moved forward from his spot.

He suddenly appeared in front of the old man as he swung his fist forward in the old man's direction. The old man looked surprised as he didn't say anything and quickly raised both of his hands forward.

Raw purple lightning started to appear from his fingers as it quickly gathered together and created a shield in front of the old man. Drake's fist hit the lightning-made shield and stopped his hand from moving forward as the old man smiled. But his smile soon faded away as he saw Drake's amused expression.

"You managed to stop my full power normal punch easily and you say you are weak. Think of better excuses Kyosuke." Drake said as he retracted his fist with a small smile as he knew that he had won an argument.

"Damn it…" The old man, whose name was Kyosuke, cursed under his breath as he turned towards the rest of the people in the group.

"I guess we wasted our time by coming here. Let's go back." He said as the entire group started moving out of the room.

"And you, never try doing anything stupid again. You will be banished from the family if you ever do that again." Kyosuke suddenly stopped at the gates as he turned and spoke to Kisuke.

Kisuke's eyes widened as he took a sharp intake of breath and nodded. Kyosuke looked satisfied with the result as he and the group moved out of the gates.

'I wonder what that was about. Why are they acting weak anyway?' Aiden wondered silently as he and the rest of the children, alongside Kisuke, started moving out of the place.

But no sooner had they taken a few steps that another person how Aiden hadn't expected to appear came in front of them.

"Hello son, will you please follow me for an important explanation?" Aysel appeared in front of them as Aiden sighed.

'Guess the day is far from over.' He thought silently and started following his mother.
