'Well, math confirmed that my biggest problem in helping my new brother in this world would be my combat capabilities, I had to spend the entire math class not looking at Mrs Dodds as I could only see her monster form with not even a slight hint as to her human form,' "great".

"What I didn't take you to be one to struggle with maths like me?" I looked at my brother as he came up behind me and rolled my eyes "well we all have our problems and let's just say dyslexia and school don't exactly mix well together." I answer his question calmly while thinking 'didn't help I could only see a demonic winged creature when I looked at the teacher but not like I can tell anyone that.'

Anyway, we are now heading to Latin which should be interesting it was something I was interested in before I died and got sent here so I know a bit but I didn't do all that well in it as learning a dead language is kind of hard to do over a computer screen.

'Well that is interesting Mr Brunner is in his wheelchair but he looks human so either I can only see monsters or there is something else going on with his chair because I remember him being Chiron a centaur.' This thought is what I think about for a bit as I enter my Latin class with Percy finding myself a seat next to him so that I can hopefully help him or ask him for help depending on what we will be learning and how far advanced we are compared to when I was learning in my past life.

----time skip till March----

(AN I don't live in the US so I am only spitballing with the month after a bit of research sorry if I got it wrong feel free to let me know)

'Time for the field trip to the museum now' I think excitedly hoping to be able to put what I have learnt over the year to good use though I had to constantly ignore Mrs Dodds who was sitting at the front of the bus I had gotten used to it though after about the first week of classes so it wasn't too hard for me to ignore her.

"Hey, man come on when are you going to tell me how you got Gabe to accept your new sister?" I manage to overhear Grover's whisper to Percy without meaning to though I was the main topic of discussion at the start of the year especially when it came out that I was Percy's sister I also got Brunner's attention after that though he looked confused until it got clarified that I was adopted. "We may or may not have told him that Night is just a friend from school whose parents were overseas and she offered to help me study over break in exchange for a roof to sleep under." Percy sheepishly replied to Grover's question though it wasn't a lie we did tell Gabe that and I did help Percy with his studies over the break when we returned to his home during winter break.

"Right class we have arrived if you will follow me we will start our tour." Mr Brunner called out to everyone as we disembarked the bus in front of the museum and followed him into the museum walking towards the Greek and Roman section to look at the statues depicting different myths.

As Mr Brunner was talking about the statues and what they were depicting Nancy and some of her friends were talking and being annoying so I turned to them and hissed "shut up some of us are trying to focus here even if you aren't." which caused them to quiet down I had managed to earn a reputation after I dropped a guy who tried to pick on me earlier in the year in only a couple of hits and that reputation only increased when I got a brick dropped on my arm breaking it and having it sticking out at an odd angle only realising what had happened when I went to use my arm and it wasn't working the way I intended it to yeah slight side effect of my curse I can feel very little pain and the limit to it has been increasing as I get older kind of hoping it has no adverse effects on me but who knows.

"Ah, Nightingale would you mind answering the question I just asked then?" Mr Brunner's voice cuts through my thoughts as I stand there for a moment not entirely sure what the question was before Lily came to my rescue 'what might be the use of this information?' realising what the question was thanks to Lily I gave my answer "well sir it has a couple of uses if we ever wanted to try to get a job as a museum curator it would be useful, then there is the thought of being a fantasy writer the myths, abilities and monsters would be a great place to start with fantasy writing and finally if we ever wanted to show off how much of a geek we are." I say the first two pints seriously and the last with some humour in my voice.

"Very good Nightingale full marks for those points I must say." you can hear the laughter in his voice it seems he found my words entertaining which is good I suppose.

"Now I believe it is time for lunch please follow Mrs Dodds out to the entrance where we will have our lunch." at those words everyone follows Mrs Dodds though Percy stays behind for a bit at Mr Brunner's request.

While eating lunch I see Nancy and her friends approach Percy and Grover, I was sitting alone in a corner eating like I usually did for meal times before I hear a scream and see Nancy on her ass soaking wet with water draining from around her. At this scream and the accusation that Percy pushed her Mrs Dodds approaches and tells Percy to follow her, I also see Grover at this point trying to get Mr Brunner's attention but is failing so while he does that, I follow my brother and Mrs Dodds who headed into the museum.

I find them both in the area where we were previously and I see Mrs Dodds on top of one of the statues shouting at Percy about something I think she was asking where it was though Percy was confused about what she was talking about I understood that she was asking about the master bolt Zeuses weapon of mass destruction he had lost.

As Percy was trying to understand what was happening Mrs Dodds leapt at him and Mr Brunner came through the door while tossing his pen to Percy and as Percy caught the pen it turned into a sword and I stared as all the information about the sword from it's creation to now it's history, how to use it and how it was made flooded into my brain and a copy of the sword appeared in my mindscape as if it was the weapon in front of me.

By the time I had finished sorting through the information and had stopped standing staring like an idiot Percy had slashed Mrs Dodds and turned her to dust and was now trying to figure out what happened I walked up to him "what was that Percy?" he turns towards me and stares "you could see all of that?"

"Yeah what happened to Mrs Dodds though she just turned into powder?"

While talking about everything that happened Percy and I walked outside where he handed Mr Brunner his pen back and walked over to Grover asking classmates about Mrs Dodds and getting confused looks in return.
