WAR

I stayed all night with Fedra sleeping on my thighs in front of the campfire.... I should've been the one sleeping at her thighs, not the otber way around!

But 4 hours later, I noticed some movements which would be impossible to detect without magic... So of course I used magic.

To wake up the sleeping majority, I did the best thing.. Summon lightnings to worsen up the already foggy landscape

The sound of the lightnings woke up the majority of my schoolmates. And due to most of them waking up, some noticed the Romans marching up towards the camp

The people guarding the camp immediately shot huge spells like tornadoes, fireballs the size of a house, and tsunamis because of panic. But most of them were useless because the enemy magicians in the back, just expected it and made barriers

But it worked in waking all of my schoolmates

The heirs who were asleep stretched their arm

"dang those Romans. Why are they acting like the French?"

Fedra complained due to her lack of sleep.

"thankfully because of the rain, and some tsunamis..... That would slow down those Romans by a lot"

I said in a too relaxed tone for someone who hasn't slept.

"h-hey! Are you even tired?"

"nope, must've been the tea I drank"

I tried to give a reasoning but sadly Fedra destroyed it

"there was no caffeine in it"

Dang it, couldn't you at least understand when to reveal the truth? Well whatever

"It would take a minimum of 2 hours to regroup and be prepared... But sadly the Romans would arrive in about an hour."

I immediately contacted all group members.

"right group, bomb the enemies with all you got. Left group, create huge barriers. Central group, build walls."

I expected the war in London to be over now, we might get some reinforcements.... We already lost so much students and that might upset so many noble houses if it continued to rise.

"minor groups 1,2,3 sneak towards tbe back of the enemy camp. Use spells to know where their supplies are located. Infiltrate it and bomb it with explosives. I expect your group leader knows what to do"

"ugggh"

"..."

I stayed silent

"yes!"

With that much students building walls, we managed to build a really thick one with a height of 10 meters.

We can't give up this position, we are already near the sea so we can't flank their left side. We also can't flank their right because its too guarded and too close. And if we retreat even further from London, then we will loose all our supplies.

As much I would love to do a tactical retreat to go eastwards, they are simply too close, like 10 kilometres.

For hours on bombing the fortress, morale declined due to lack of hygiene and sleep. After all these guys are spoiled brats!

Its now 7 pm, and yes PM! Finally after waiting for hours with a new formation they finally destroyed the enemy supplies.

I saw an explosion happen... They most likely be killed if they won't retreat or if we can't rescue them.

Sadly the enemy expected us to send groups so the entirety of minor group 2 was captured or eliminated. But they never expected us to send 3 groups thinking it would gather too much attention. That was their mistake.

I decided... To launch the walls.

"launch the walls!"

I gave an order for all students to enchant the walls, break big fractions of the wall, and launch it towards the enemy to break their formation.

The enemy desperately erected a really thick barrier which stopped some but most of the walls that were highly enchanted smashed through.

Chaos erupted on both sides. Some minor grouos went havos and ran towards them in retaliation of getting their friends killed.

I already warned them to not break formation and if they do I won't be making a new plan to save them.

After that conflict, the casualties on our side was 3491 including the minor group 1.... Now it would increase even more

While Rome had a casualty or injured of 12,000 infantry men, 100 cavalry, and 3 magicians.

We sustained more lost. After all a single magician in a battlefield is as valuable as 10

It was a mistake of them to rush the enemy

The enemy magicians after 10 seconds of regrouping finally erected abarrier strong enough to stop most walls and spells

"go on"

I gave an order to the 2 groups still remaining in their camp. Then I saw a bright purple light... And some yellow and red ones.

Most of the enemy magicians died because of that ambush. And due to them dying the enemy infantry was either squashed to death, incinerated, or wounded beyond repair.

10 minutes of just hit and running them everytime they came close, the heir of the Roman empire throne finally issued a surrender.

But that's not what I wanted. What I wanted was revenge. I could've spent the entire day or night cuddling with her, but he ruined it!

Most of the enemy cavalries already fled, whole the still alive magicians exploded themselves thus getting some of my classmates.

The enemy infantry was toast. Some ran away but was incinerated or had their souls destroyed immediately after attempting to break the formation which was the only thing keeping them alive much longer

Suddenly I heard that the Brinatian army who already defeated the invading enemy is now near us. So I just had to go to London

I gave an order to all groups to head south east towards London.

But the enemy didn't went after us, instead they retreated too but going south west.

They will get a lot of casualties, but it was a smart move. After all the royal navy already blockaded the west of the British isle but chose not to in the east.... Tho the british cavalry will probably eliminate all of them.

The casualty was really bad for Brinatia. 6300 students lost their lives, while Rome only lost 3000. Yes, the Romans lost hundreds of thousands of infantries and a lot of cavalries, but it won't matter because a single magician will always be a lot better than infantry men.

We kept marching now without a formation feeling relaxed because we just "won". Then we saw some men who were walking towards us. Tensions rose in and some students summoned magic circles at their sides. But it all vanished when a clearly english accent was heard asking us if we were alright.

Most of the students except the heirs, and Everos members ran up to the soldiers.

May this war convince my father that I am not a piece for his goals for the family. And may he stop thinking about the future about Fedra and my relationship. After all I don't want to kill him, he and I love each.... But I just love her more.

A guy walked towards me, based on the uniform he is wearing, we would be a major.

"are you "Jay Everest?" "

That raised my eyebrow and I heard a giggle from her.

"oh sorry," Jay Everos"?"

"yes?"

"his majesty requests your presence"

"oh can I join!"

She asked the poor major not expecting another person

"sorry, but it would probably not be allowed "

"awwww"

Fedra sighed not wanting to leave my side

"you should sleep first. If the king invited me to his palace, it would probably be really boring"

"yeah... I guess you're right."

She released her arm off my shoulder, gave me a kiss on the cheek and walk towards the blimp meant to escort the aristocrats and nobles to London

The major led me to a cart being carried by a really malnutritioned pegasus. So this is what corruption looks like.

I just stared at the entrance. What is he expecting me to do, climb it using my hands? It would be disgraceful for me to do that!

"oh sorry"

He lowered the stairs for the chariot after noticing that I am a kid.
