The ball

Niko was the first to close his mouth and continue with his paperwork at the bar as though nothing had happened. Esme ignored the others and straightened, pulling her shoulders back and tilting her chin up. She used to be a goddess, one that many disliked or feared; this wasn't any different. She was also thankful that Gabriel did not command his men to follow her 'orders'.

It wasn't on purpose, but now the she-wolf had revealed she and Gabriel were more than just lovers. But if they hadn't realised by now, then they hadn't been paying attention. There were many instances that claimed them to be so much more. Esme shook her head. Her words were not anything serious; it was more shocking for them to hear a she-wolf scold the Vampire King and his subjects.

Meh, whatever, they will get over it.
