Kaito looked at the window that had appeared before him, 'locked? some of the lore and abilities are locked?'

He wanted to ask Baldrum about it but when he looked up he saw that Baldrum still had sorrow in his eyes and was looking at Kaito with a soft smile.

"Thank you, friend, i'll wear it with honor" Kaito spoke as he put the necklace around his neck.

Baldrum smiled at him, "i'm sure you will"

Kaito smiled towards Baldrum one last time before he turned around and walked towards the door, he waved behind him and spoke "i'll be back"

Baldrum just nodded and Kaito could hear the shop owner start humming some sort of song as Kaito closed the door behind him.

He was once again met by the sounds of the bustling town square, he let out a low sigh and relaxed his shoulders.

He could understand the sorrow that Baldrum felt, and it made him think about his own sorrow, the one he himself had lost, and how painful it had been.

Kaito shook his head and tried to focus, he still had 6 pieces of wolf meat and he understood that Baldrums most likely didn't have any money, as he had watched the bearded man run around the shop looking for copper or silver coins.

"Well, i guess i could sell them to other players at the town square" Kaito said quietly to himself as he made way to the middle of the town square.

He started hearing shouts of players, some were selling products and some wanted to join a party, others were selling their services.

"Selling Rabbit pelts! Selling rabbit pelts! 2 pelt for 5 copper, much cheaper than that guy over there!" One player exclaimed and pointed to a merchant that was sitting beside him.

The player sitting beside him became infuriated and started shouting-

"Special sale! 2 rabbit pelts for 4 copper, your lucky day!, come get your premium rabbit pelts!" He smiled at the first rabbit pelt merchant

Kaito shook his head and looked towards a different part of the town square, a few people stood around, arms crossed, yelling loudly-

"I'm a level 1 Archer! i'm looking for a party!" One player with a green hood shouted

There didn't seem to be anyone interested in that guy, so he continued shouting, looking for a party.

"I just started this game, i'm just a confused girl and i'm looking for a party for help me level up!" another player shouted

All of a sudden a small crowd gathered in front of the female player.

Kaito couldn't help but cringe slightly, he turned around and walked to the middle and sat down on the cobblestone ground.

He didn't like yelling but he didn't want his voice to be drowned out in all the ruckus so he took a deep breath before he shouted-

"Wolf meat for sale! 1 piece for 4 silver! Wolf meat for sale! 1 piece for 4 silver!"

Almost instantly, players ran up to him, wanting to buy a piece for themselves. The usual price was 5 silvers for wolf meat, this was 10 copper pieces cheaper!

"Yo man, how did u get this wolf meat?" a player asked as he handed Kaito 4 silver.

"I hunted it myself" Kaito shrugged as he answered, handing the player a piece of wolf meat

"yeah sure, real funny" the player answered as he walked away, giving up on getting any real answer

A few players that had gathered to buy wolf meat were beginning to whisper among themselves as they looked at Kaito

"H-h-Hi, are you the player Insane?" one player asked carefully

Kaito didn't really know what to answer, 'cant they see my name over my character? what kind of question is that?'

"Yeah, i am... You wanna buy or no?" Kaito awkwardly answered

"Oh, yeah sure!" The player answered as he handed Kaito 4 silver and received the piece of wolf meat

Kaito watched the player quickly ran away to a group of players and they started whispering to each other, glancing at Kaito.

Kaito ignored it and shrugged his shoulders. He had sold all his wolf meat and was ready to find a store for some armor.

He stood up and dusted off his trousers that had become dusty as he had sat down, and when he looked up he noticed that there was a whole crowd of curious eyes looking at him.

He didn't really know why they looked at him so he quickly walked away and disappeared into the crowd.

The curious gazes had left him and he sighed out in relief, 'Now, where do i find a place to buy some armor?'

Kaito looked around but couldn't spot any stores thanks to the crowds of people. He walked around for some time before spotting "Weapon Merchant" on a crudely made iron sign.

'Maybe i can sell my dagger there, i don't really think i need it' Kaito thought as he walked inside of the shop.

As he entered, the sounds from the town square died down and became muffled.

He looked around the shop, it was in much better shape than Baldrum's shop. There were weapon racks filled to the brim with shining swords and daggers, shields and maces, bows and crossbows.

There were colourful banners hanging around the shop, and on them there were depictions of shields and swords.

Kaito looked around in awe before he heard a voice-

"Hey there customer! welcome to our humble shop! you planning on buying any weapons on this fine day?"

Kaito looked up and saw a woman behind the counter at the middle of the shop. The woman wore fine clothing and had a pleasant expression spread across her face.

The woman was short but Kaito could see that the fabrics on her arms couldn't hide her muscles, 'She's probably the one who created these weapons'.

That's when Kaito heard the banging of metal against steel, like a hammer hitting an anvil, coming from the door behind the counter, deeper into the shop.

"you said 'Our shop'?" Kaito looked at the woman

"That's for sure! my husband's and mine, we're both blacksmiths, our eyes met over the anvil and it was love at first sight. Although my husband got distracted and slammed the hammer down on his own thumb" The woman answered and started giggling

The hammering momentarily stopped before continuing again.

"Oops" the woman covered her mouth, "Anyways, what are you looked for young man?"

Kaito smiled at hearing the story of their meeting before carefully putting the wolf dagger on the counter-

"I'd like to sell this dagger if that's possible"

The woman took up the dagger and started to inspect it-

"not bad, not bad at all young man" she spoke and she looked at it, turning it over in her hand.

She looked at Kaito and then back at the dagger-

"I'll give you 25 silver for this dagger, how does that sound? fair price to you?" She said after consideration

Thinking about it was useless for now as Kaito didn't really have much of an understanding about the value of items and currency in this world.

"Yeah, that sounds good" He simply replied

The woman opened a drawer and took out a coin purse and put it on the counter in front of Kaito-

"Pleasure making business with you young man" she smiled at Kaito

Kaito took the coin purse and answered in response "Yeah, likewise!"

He looked at how much money he had acquired in total-

He thought it probably was a good amount of coins, considering the fact that some players had to group up to buy a wolf meat for 5 silver.

"Come back anytime!" The woman waved at Kaito as he started walking towards the door

Kaito waved back but stopped before opening the door, he had forgotten something.
