Saved By Heroic... Skeletons?
Kaito checked how close he was to leveling up-

He closed the panel in front of him and began to sneak once more, the last particles of light had dissipated from the dead wolf and Kaito wanted to look for another wolf so he could level up.
A small group was slowly moving through the dark parts of the forest, a human followed by three skeletons, all sneaking.
Suddenly, Kaito spotted a wolf, wandering around alone

Just like last time he waited a few minutes before attacking, just to be sure that the wolf was truly alone.
The wolf had felt their presence and stood ready to fight.
The fight played out a lot like the last one, It was easier to fight the wolf now that Kaito knew how the creature would react to his attacks.
it didn't take long before the wolf was on low health and Kaito sacrificed one of his skeletons to hold the wolf down while his other skeletons drove their daggers into the creature from behind.

Kaito quickly summoned a new skeleton.

and then he controlled his summons to rush the wolf, just like last time the wolf gave a low growl as it's eyes became dull as it's body started disappearing.

Kaito looked at the window that appeared before him, the frames of the message glowed and sparkled-

'i'm in dangerous territory, so let's put the points into my stats right away' Kaito thought as he looked at his stats-

Kaito looked around him, he didn't sense any other creature so he sat down and leaned back against a tree while thinking about where he should put his stats.
'I should probably try to always put a few points into intelligence, but i think vitality and agility also might be good to have a few points in, if i die, the strength of my skeletons doesn't matter after all'
He looked around him and saw his skeletons standing guard, keeping watch over the dark forest.
Kaito nodded and put the points into his stats.

he opened his character panel and looked at his new stats-

He nodded to himself, he felt like this was a good distribution of points. He could perhaps get his skeletons to be stronger if he put all his points into intelligence, but if an enemy got past the skeletons he wanted to be able to survive himself.
Kaito was just about to stand up as he got a system notification-
〈15 Agility threshold reached! New ability unlocked: Dash!〉
Kaito's eyes widened, this had happened before, but that time he unlocked the weapon: bone dagger to his summons, this time he unlocked an entirely new ability.
Kaito opened up a window to see the new ability-

Cooldown: 10 minutes
When activating this ability you move 10 times faster for a short moment(0.5 seconds)
Kaito looked at the ability, slowly nodding his head.
"This could be really handy in a tight spot" he muttered
Kaito stood up and brushed the dirt off his pants.
'i wonder if putting points into your stats is the only way of receiving new abilities' Kaito pondered but almost instantly a system message popped up in front of him to answer his question:
〈Skill Books can be bought at magic shops or dropped from powerful creatures!〉
'Oh, skill books? so that's how to get new abilities, then perhaps Nyx sells skill books at her store. i should go to her shop and check' Kaito thought while walking
He was looking down into ground while thinking and suddenly he saw a shadow in front of him.
As Kaito raised up his head he saw a big cave, he had clearly walked the wrong way but this sparked his interest.
Kaito only took a few steps closer until he saw a message pop up in front of him.
〈Dungeon Lvl.6 : Wolf Den Discovered!〉
'A dungeon?' Kaito looked at the cave opening, eager to enter.
'It'll be too hard to beat right now, i'll come back once i'm stronger' He thought and turned around and started walking back to the town.
While walking he thought about the dungeon, 'what could be inside? A boss wolf probably, and it would most likely be very strong'
A smile formed on Kaito's lips as he thought about it.
He got out of the dark part of the forest and the bird's melody once more entered his ears.
But not only the sounds of birds could be heard, the sounds from players as well, the sounds of players in need, and wolfs growling.
Kaito thought about his options, he saw no negative aspect in helping the players.
He moved forward with his skeletons and once he got close to the battle he hid behind a tree and peeked out.
There were three players, two warriors and one archer by the looks of it.
They were facing two young wolfs.

The players had backed into a tree and had scratches and wounds all over them.
The young wolfs were slowly getting closer while growling.
One of the players exclaimed-
"Curse our luck this day, why would another wolf show up?"
"Defeating one wolf is already hard enough, we're so dead" another player yelled with an sad expression
the last player breathed in and then shouted as loudly as he could-
"HELP!, HELP US!, please..."
The wolfs were closing in and all hope seemed lost
That's when the players saw three skeletons appear from the bushes, the wolf also realized this and changed focus from the weak humans onto the skeletons.
The three skeletons ran towards the wolfs, and just was the young wolfs were about to attack the skeletons jumped up, dodging the attack and sliced the wolfs back.

Kaito had almost forgotten how different the young wolfs to act, they were much easier and less cunning than the adult wolfs.
One of the skeletons ran into the bushes and when the wolfs turned their attention to their attackers the skeleton ran past them, running it's dagger along their back.

The other two skeletons also ran into the bushes and all three skeletons weaved in and out of the bushes, attacking the two wolfs until they both died.

The players looked at the scene with horror in their eyes, these skeletons were terrifying.
And once the wolfs were dead the skeletons appeared from the bushes and gathered, all three of them looked at the players and slowly moved forward but stopped right in front of them.
The players thought it was their turn to die and one of them had tears in their eyes.
That's when they saw a player appear from behind the skeletons, one of the skeleton moved to side letting the player pass.
The three players saw a human with white hair, a handsome face and adorned with a dark blue velvet body armor, black gloves and black boots, A silvery necklace with a green stone hung around his neck.
Kaito looked at the three players, not understanding why they were still scared, he had helped them, right?
"Are you okay?" He asked
The players looked at each other and then looked up at Kaito
"Y-y-yes, thank you for helping us" one of the players spoke up.
They saw no ill will in the eyes of Kaito and therefore was able to breathe out.
One of the players instantly shone up and exclaimed-
"You're the player Insane right? the mysterious ranker!? I've heard he was an necromancer!"
Kaito rubbed the back of his head, 'no need to keep it a secret i guess'.
"yeah, that's me" Kaito smiled an awkward smile
The three players became quiet as they looked at Kaito with Awe.
They didn't say it but all three of them thought it: 'They were face to face with the only player able to contest with the pro players'
Kaito looked around him, his skeletons were rubbing the back of their heads as if confused or feeling awkward.
"well, good luck, see you around" Kaito said while starting to walk away from the players.
He stopped in his track and spun around and waved his hand, and on the forest ground in front of the players appeared 4 pieces of wolf meat and 2 wolf pelts.
Kaito smiled at them and said-
"I believe these belong to you"
He quickly turned around and started heading in the direction of the town.
All three players wanted to say something but it was if words wouldn't leave their mouths. One of the currently most famous players had saved them and then given them the meat and pelts of the wolfs that attacked them.
All three of them were looking at Kaito's back with admiration in their eyes.
Kaito of course didn't see this and didn't think much about the event.
As he walked through the forest he heard more shouts, but these were not the shouts of players in danger, it was the shouts of battles being fought.
'It's only natural that more players had found their way to the forest and started to fight the wolfs i guess' Kaito thought as he walked past them.
Some players stopped in the middle of combat to look at the white haired man, adorned with a dark blue armor walking towards the town with three terrifying skeletons calmly walking after him.
Kaito reached the outskirt of the forest and waked up the south gate while waving his hand behind him, dismissing his three skeletons.

Dark purple energy swirled around him and the piles of bone dust begun to blow away in the wind.
Kaito looked at the bustling town in front of him, thinking about what to do first.
