The princess's wrath

The sun was high in the sky. Ariadne laid on the ground facing the sky. Her eyes wide open staring at the scortching sun, she didn't even blink.

Her anger had reached its limits. She was like a perfect picture with a broken frame and the one to blame was none other than her husband. Her mind replayed his words over and over again taunting her.

She was the future queen of Acceradia. It was unheard of, the level of disrespect that she suffered from the male was infuriating. She had slowly been swayed by him before but after the fight the only thing she wanted was to make him pay.

She was done playing nice, she was done being considerate to a person who didn't value him. It was enough.

Izora and Raya stood a distance away watching her. As her friends they felt sorry for her, having her pride crushed by a man was something that the princess they knew would never forget or forgive. They felt even more sorry for Draxan, he had stepped on the princess's wrong side and she was going to make him now to her wicked schemes.

Ariadne's heart was on fire, recalling the smile on her sister's face when Draxan spoke made her furious. Tears trickled down her face, it was happening once again.

Kethra was her mother's daughter but from a different man. Since childhood, she had the girl to compete with for everything in her life. Even things that we're hers were claimed by Kethra. The girl didn't even have need for them, she just wanted to make her feel inferior.

Back then, she was not as she was currently. She was easily pushed around and used for other people's benefit. It made her heart ache in pain seeing as Draxan was choosing Kethra over her.

Her eyes widen. She had put together pieces in her head of what could have happened. She pressed her lips together in anger, it was unbelievable.

She felt like hitting her head on the wall repeatedly to punish herself for being so stupid. She stood up from the ground, her eyes burnt from having stared at sun for too long but she didn't mind it. She only had one destination in mind.

Izora and Raya reacted quickly and found their way behind her and watched her walk back to the palace. Her line of court maids in waiting followed behind her friends careful not to make their presence known to the princess and make more furious than she already was.

Ariadne stopped in her tracks and turned around. "Where is my husband?" she asked her friends.

Izora and Raya looked at each other with worry in their faces. "He is in your room," Raya replied.

"Let's go," she ordered continuing in her walk. She changed direction to head to her room, she had decided how to approach the matter at hand and wanted to inform her so called husband.

He was going to regret every mean thing that he had ever spoken to her. She rushed, her blood boiling with rush of watching what was in store for Draxan. Not even Kethra would be able to save him from her now.

His punishment would be harsh that he won't even find the time to go and gossip about it to his friends. He would suffer the consequences of daring to speak down on her in public.

"Announcing the arrival of the princess," the page announced as she arrived to her room. The maids opened the door for her and let her in, she raised her hand and stopped her friends from coming in with her.

"You are all dismissed," she said to them. She waited by the door until the footsteps of them hushed out into the background.

She shot her gaze at her husband. Draxan stood in waiting ready to take her on. He was ready to apologise to her for how he had reacted in the dining room. It wasn't something nice to say and he was feeling bad for saying it.

He wanted to show her that he wasn't a rude person and he had just lost his temper earlier and hence his reaction.

"I need to have a quick word with you," Ariadne said in a flat tone of voice.
