A sweet dessert

The princess had to receive important from a nearby kingdom. The guests were the princess and her prince of Nemar. Together they came to visit Acceradia and as they were royals it was the princess's job to await them.

Ariadne woke up early in the morning to foresee the arrangements for their arrival. Draxan stood right behind her, as her first mate and right hand. It was his job to second check everything to limit mistakes.

He moved around followed the princess of ice who barely let out a smile on her face since the day began. They moved from the first floor where tea had been prepared and set for the coming guests. To the second floor where their sleeping arrangements would be made.

All the man servants that were helping around with what she needed changed or added walked six steps away from her. Only her husband walked close enough, two steps away from her.

"I want them to have the room next to mine. I will better attend to them that way," she uttered.

"Yes, your highness," the hoarse voices of the servants was heard as they replied to her.

Ariadne kept her pace steady, giving up her beauty sleep and having to run around the palace doing jobs meant for a servant didn't settle well with her. She was not a matron of the palace to look after guests.

The demanding queen of Nemar had something else coming her way the next time they met for asking that she personally takes care of her daughter. If it was up to her, she would rather share a meal with her stepsister than play host.

"Wife," she stumbled on her next step hearing how affectionately Draxan called her. Draxan reacted quickly and grabbed before she fell and held her in his arms.

Ariadne opened his eyes slowly taking in the handsome image of the man. She could shake the feeling that he looked more and more handsome with each time that they met. Either that or she had lost her eyesight and was going blind for seeing that.

"You look so beautiful today my darling wife," Draxan complimented. In that very moment, Ariadne tightened her hold on him, her heart skipping a beat from the sweet compliment. A deep shade of red color appeared on her cheeks.

She felt warm hearing his kind words. "That dress brings out the best in you without letting out too much in just the right amount," he added.

Ariadne found herself drawn more and more to her husband. His words took away her foul mood leaving her feeling all warm and fuzzy.

"You look even better when you smile," he spoke. Ariadne's lips formed a sweet smile on her face, the moment had called for it. Draxan pulled her closer to him.

He could feel her hot breath hitting his skin. Sending heat down his spine, his heart beat increased in his chest, being near her made him breathless. Just by being there and smiling so nicely, he was made helpless.

He would fall to her knees and do her bidding if the reward was her sweet smile. He leaned his tall figure down and cupped her jaw. He stole a kiss from her sweet rosy lips. The princess widen her eyes when their lips locked. Feeling a burning sensation on her lips, she arched her back and let him kiss her.

Her eyes closed, trusting him to take the lead and give her a magical moment. Her life felt complete in that moment, like she needed nothing more in life than him. He was all that she needed for her worries to wash away.

His sweet smell of mint made its way into her life, she drew a deep breath to get scent in her system. She was calm and happy.

Draxan kissed her passionately expressing all the feeling that he too was unaware was brewing in his heart. To leave an unforgettable memory mark to her, he kissed every inch of her mouth.

"Mmmm," Ariadne let out a sweet moan. Draxan broke the kiss as though brought back to his senses with the moan. Ariadne frowned. She furtowed her eyebrows displeased by him pulling away.

Her reaction put a smile on Draxan's face. "Don't worry princess, you still owe me four more kisses today?" he whispered in her ear. "This was just a sweet dessert," he added.

Ariadne recalled the deal that they had made. She felt stupid to have put too much meaning into the kiss when he was just fulfilling a deal they made.

"Let me go," she said bitterly.
