Chapter 146: Garth

Garth BRACED HIS HAND against the back of an empty chair and watched the couples scooting around the dance floor.

He'd thought today would be much like it was for all the weddings they did, only a bit special because Scarlett was the one getting hitched.

Boy, had he been wrong.

The moment it had been his turn to look at Scarlett, right before handing her to Cole, he'd almost lost it. He and Scarlett had stood there probably twice as long as they'd scripted, just looking at each other.

He was so damn proud of the woman she'd grown into. And now she'd found someone who loved her as much as Garth did. It was all he could ask of the universe.

"Ever think you'd see this day?"

He glanced down at Bunny Foster standing next to him. She'd donned a dress today rather than her staple track suit.

"She's still ten years old to me," Garth said as he caught sight of Cole spinning Scarlett on the dance floor.
