Connections

Entering her apartment was a strange feeling for her. Since the last time she had been in there, so much had happened. She unlocked the door and stood just inside while Slaton went in to check things out. With the Creeper still on the loose, he didn’t want to leave anything to chance. 


After seeing that all was well and no one was in the apartment, Slaton went back to Brenna who was looking paler than normal. He saw the slight fear in her eyes. Going to her, he took her by the hands and drew her close to him. Closing the door with his foot, he pulled her down the hallway into her bedroom. He stopped in the middle of the room and turned her around where she could see everything was okay.


“See, all is well.” He waited on her to say something.
