Tahnee met them at the door with their arms full of groceries. She had called them as they left the hospital, asking if they could pick up some things at the store. It turned out to be more than a few things. They filled up the truck bed. 


Tahnee sent Layford out to get the remaining bags as Brenna and Slaton put the ones they carried in the kitchen. She shook her head as she watched him leave. He had been in such a melancholy mood since they had all returned from their mission. She tried to reach out to him, but he had shut her completely out as he had his father. He only came home after she told him how much it would hurt Brenna that he wasn’t there. She swore the failed plan hit him the hardest of all.
