The news Slaton delivered to Tahnee was not good. The knowledge that Jolon had a way around the prophecy made the situation more dangerous. It was all the more reason to read more of her Grandmother Sakari’s journals. They were at a severe disadvantage not knowing what they were up against. The lack of knowledge concerning the mark and everything it brought with it could bring about deadly results. Tahnee felt as though she was being called to the journals.
The next morning after breakfast after sending Grey and Layford off to bed, she couldn’t sit still. Dishes had been washed. Living room had been cleaned. Laundry was all done. Tahnee kept glancing at the clock. Twenty minutes went by. Another fifteen. Five more minutes. Five. One. Realizing that she was making herself crazy, she decided to go for a walk in hopes the fresh air would help calm her down.
