It didn’t take Layford long to get dressed. He lowered himself to the ground with the women as he used his shirt as a towel on his head and his upper body.
Miakoda kept her eyes focused above his neck. Seeing him without a shirt on right out of the water made her a little uncomfortable. She could feel the electricity between them. Shaking her head, she listened closely to what he said and forgot about his lack of clothing.
“What you see over there is nothing compared to what I found. The creek is a small river with hundreds or more fish down there.”
“How? It’s just a few feet wide. ” Miakoda interrupted.
“The creek up here is only a couple of feet wide. But when you go down a few feet, it spreads out under the cave. I measured it. There is about five extra feet on each side.” He patted the ground next to him. “Under us is all water.”
The women looked around with wide eyes as though they thought they were about to fall in. Layford laughed.
