The need to survive

He stares at the stones one last before moving away from them, I try to bandage his bleeding hands but he doesn't let me, obviously, the pain he is feeling in his heart is more than that of his hand.

There was total silence while we continued the rest of the journey. "Are you okay?" I asked hoping there was something I could do for him. What could I possibly do when I can't bring her back or give her a proper burial?

He shakes his head and continues to walk like a corpse. Suddenly the wind starts to blow hard and strong around us. I hold unto Roland, now he was awake from his daze.

"What is happening?" I mumble.

"They will do everything to stop us from achieving our goals," Roland whispered as we kept walking further.

The further we went the harder and stronger the wind but that didn't stop us.

We managed to get out of there, I took a break to look at the old map, it was an old map and there have been a few changes over the years.
