I'm getting married

Nancy's POV

Roland's gaze bore into me, his eyes filled with contemplation as he measured his words. It was as if he was carefully selecting each one before they left his lips. "You have nothing to worry about," he assured me, his voice carrying a weight of experience. "You have no idea how many battles he's faced, and every time, he's emerged victorious. This won't be any different."

A cold shiver of anxiety coursed through me as his words hinted at a looming conflict. "You mean there's a war on the horizon?" I murmured, my hands trembling involuntarily. The very thought of him going to battle sent fear coursing through my veins.

Roland's expression softened, and he reached out to gently grasp my quivering hand. "I'm getting married," he declared with a tender smile. I looked up at him, a glimmer of hope sparking in my eyes. Perhaps this was a diversion from the impending war, a chance for happiness.
