Chapter 10

She walked to the supervisor and with her chin up she stood in front of the mannerless red-haired woman in a silk green dress and said:

"Where...is the bastard of your alpha" her voice was harsh but little did she care and she could sense the other woman at her back paying them attention "fine, I'll fish him out myself," said Gwenyvere when the maid remained quiet and decided to go for the door.

"I wouldn't interrupt your highness, human" the redhead answered all of a sudden, making Gwenyvere face her. The unfamiliar woman walked up to her "Well If you must know, the alpha is with his first concubine, Lady Rowena"

Gwenyvere was beyond outraged and her anger grew even more when she heard giggles at her back. she pulled the handle of the door and stormed outside the room.

She was halfway through a large corridor, the rustling of her blanket sliding on the floor echoed throughout the room.

How silly of them to refer to her as human, whatever creature they were it wasn't like they didn't have a human form after all. To be honest she didn't know where her anger was leading her but she was going back to her house in this instant.

From afar, she saw a tall figure come out of a room and she stopped walking she got close to a curtain that coincidentally had the same color as her blanket, and spied on them.

Just as she had thought the tall figure was Keane and he was with a woman, they both came out of the room. She flung her arms around his neck and kissed him passionately; for the look of things Keanne seemed to enjoy every minute of it for he let his hand slide to the woman's buttocks.

Gwenyvere refused to watch any longer she knew there were guards in all the corners of the palace ready to send her back if she attempted to escape and sincerely, she didn't want to push Keane's patience to its limits.

She slowly walk out behind the curtains and went back to the room, the servants passed by her without a single glance.

Gwenyvere had never felt so lonely she look at the room, someone has put on fire on the stove.

She wondered where her family would be and if they would be looking for her. The saddest thing was to think that she might never be able to run away from the castle, and running away was her only option for Keane didn't have any intentions to set her free any time soon.

She couldn't understand why he was taking her as his slave because she has clearly seen he had so many more.

The servant has numbered Rowena as the first one which means she was to follow a sequence of all the women the bastard had under his power.

She cleaned the tears that slide over her cheeks while a little but persistent voice inside her kept repeating that her life was ruined.

Tired of even breathing she stood up and decided she had had enough for the day, she laid flat on the mattress and quickly fell asleep.

Like her uncle used to say "is better to retreat and fight tomorrow". For all, she knew the battle was in a stalemate since Keane had no more reasons to look for her tonight.

Keane knew it had been Gwenyvere walking on the aisle earlier, he could catch her scent even before he sees her just like he was doing now walking back to his room.

He had talked to his Gama and ordered him to keep an eye on Mallock instead, as for the human he would gladly handle her.

His room was in complete darkness, but he could still spot the body in his bed with his night mink.

He locked up the door and began to undress until he was left nude and climbed on the bed.

what was happening to him?

He didn't know what it was but he felt as if he was hypnotized by the moon, He was left with no control in a blink. This was something that had never happened to him.

His bed smelled of lemons, which meant she was used to switching positions when asleep.

The wish of being skin to skin with Gwenyvere was more like a vital need to him, an urge something he couldn't resist, and his wolf was dying to surface.

He took her by the waist and drug her against him until he was staring down at her, pinning her body to the bed.

Gwenyvere was scared and he could even smell it but even that was contributing to the loss of his sanity. He knew his eyes have shifted and right now all he wanted was for her to remain still.

Determined not to frustrate him Gwenyvere remained frost in place unable to believe her eyes. She could never, and would never be able to predict the moves of the man on top of her. how improper of them to lay like this, but he didn't care about decency and manners.

The man before here was after no good, he wasn't a gentleman that was asking for her hand in marriage before they even had the thought of sharing such intimacy, and the faster she kept that in mind the better.

Keane removed the blanket around her body without losing eye contact.

"I know you are far from being obedient," he said feeling her chest brush against his. He closed his eyes for her not to be able to tell his movements and leaned into her ear "Gwenyvere, do not move"
