CHAPTER 12

"Believe it or not, I dislike human flesh"

Gwenyvere maintained her hands on her mouth as another screamed emerged from her throat, she could hear him talking but all she could see was darkness while his voice sounded from a few steps next to her.

A quick 360 turn didn't help at all, but once she was facing the bed, the scream came from the most inner part of her soul for Keane was standing right before her.

"But if you disobey me one more time, I'll eat you" he threatened her letting his eyes fright her even more.

He turned around and went back to bed and say:

"Shall I take it that you need a demonstration?"

Gwenyvere shook her head and Keanne smiled amusedly, he watched her rush to bed with the little dignity she had left and lay almost at the wooden borders of the bed attempting to make her equilibrium fight gravity.

Was this woman out of her mind?

Keane smile but he managed to keep his voice firm.

"Come closer, the night is cold," He said watching her get stiff as if she was making a decision for she suddenly chinned up turning around to hand him the blanket.

He simply couldn't believe it there was her arrogance once again, the human simply had a lot of dignity and pride for both his liking and disliking. It wasn't like he was not going to have his way with her, he smiled. He always had his way with everything and she was not the exception.

Before she could turn away Keane pulled Gwenyvere's hand and pinned her to his chest, securing his arm around her waist as a jailer would with the locks.

He used the hand he had free to cover them, He didn't have a problem with the cool temperature but the human could catch all sorts of sicknesses before dawn.

After a few seconds, it was Keanne's time to remain stiff as he felt the soft hands of Gwenivere gently rest against his abdomen in order to keep a distance between their bodies.

There was the rejection once more, but this time it was bittersweet. He had wanted her to touch him voluntarily and that was willingly somehow. He closed his eyes filling his nostrils with the good scent of lemons and orchids that emanated from her body.

If only he could inhale it from her neck without causing her a heart attack.

"You... Can't do this, I know you intend to make love to me in my sleep" Gwenivere snapped at the man next to her with anger "but ill let you know something, you can have my body but never my heart".

The first thing Keane thought was that his prisoner had gone crazy; he opened his eyes that have shifted to human form. Such a strange woman, he thought.

How was she still challenging him knowing he could do whatever it pleases him with her in this instant.

She could keep her hearth; it wasn't like he cared.

Although the wolf inside him looked slightly bothered with her words.

Does that mean she had a lover back in her home?

Another gentleman human like her, one that she considered being of manners and wouldn't despise his closeness.

Keane clenched his jaw, and to think that a few seconds ago he didn't care.

Who was she taking him for?

Lycaon was his first ancestor, so he was a pure-blood wolf and alpha. His father has always told him about how their genealogical history has made them the most powerful pack after his first progenitor has dared to offend the god Zeus with human flesh and be cursed to convert to a Lycanthrope with his entire generation.

He could have anything he desired and so it will remain.

"I can only have you after you're declared as my concubine, don't be in hurry," he said dragging her even closer.

"I'm not in a hurry," Gwenyvere said between gritted teeth "it didn't seem like you had principles earlier"

Keane rolled his eyes fighting the urge to choke her. Gwenyvere was a very opinionated creature.

"I had to taste the merchandise," Keane said closing his eyes unbothered.

"I'm not a merchandise Mr. Keane" She replied "no wonder you're unmarried, your lack of chivalry and meekness is outstanding"

There was the blow again, right in his guts!

Keane released her immediately, and she didn't waste time, she put a decent gap between them giving her back to him again.

He knew the exact time she fell asleep but never knew when was the exact time the woman had mounted on him.

The light of the day illuminated the whole room inviting to a journey of combat training.

Keane woke up and was about to move out of the bed until he realized his body was tangled with that of someone else.

It was almost as if he was enrolled by the tentacles of an octopus, Gwenyvere was deep asleep hugging him as her life depended on it with the blanket halfway of her body. He eyed her trying to figure out why she seemed almost angelical while asleep but was otherwise when she was awake.

He gently tried to uncoil her body off his, doing it as fast as possible could wake her up.

But it wasn't long until she finally did wake up, surprised to find him holding the blanket on her. The woman snatched it from his hands and sat away from him in a blink of an eye.

"I knew you wouldn't keep your hands off me" Gwenyvere cried out to Keane.

His laughter filled the room, he stood up and faced her only to see she has hidden her head into the blankets.

What now? he was confused.

"Cover yourself!" she shouted and Keanne rolled his eyes amused.

"You didn't like what you saw?" he asked her walking to his wardrobe to get dressed.

"I didn't see anything; I might need my night spectacles to be able to spot it"

Keane thug his head into a camisole and began to tie the strands of his trousers.

"Shall I assume you need a demonstration?" he asked once again, surprised that she has dared to say that about his manhood.

"No!" she screamed uncovering her head suddenly "I'm a lady … I don't do such obscene things"

Keane smiled at the woman on his bed. If only Gwenyvere could be as calm and inoffensive as she was when she was asleep.

" I recall you were naked when I came in, I won't make you wait next time"

Gwenyvere's eyes widened and she remained speechless feeling how her cheeks burned out of shame.

"I have a hectic day, do not abuse my patience"

With that being said she watched Keane leave the room.
