SIXTEEN

We were both ushered to another part of the studio. It was time for pictures of us as a couple. The crew came in and moved us around like mannequins. I felt ridiculous and it must have shown on my face. "What's wrong?" He laughed "I thought I looked like Barbie and now I feel like I am barbie" as one of the crew lifted my arm. "See" Adrian started laughing at me and the next thing he knew someone was moving his leg. "How's it going ken?" He couldn't stop laughing. We fell over because we were laughing so much. We didn't even realize they were taking photos. Adrian helped me up, "you look beautiful, though I like you better without all the makeup and hair" I smiled big. "Me too" and he smirked "aren't you going to tell me I'm handsome" and I scrunched my face while I looked at him, eyeing him up and down. I could tell he was starting to feel nervous that I hadn't said anything "I don't need to tell you, your always handsome" and I blushed. He pulled me close, "ready to do this Barbie?" "Sounds good, ken" we both chucked and turned to the camera. The whole room was filled with aww-looking faces. They had been watching us the whole time and we had completely forgotten. I looked over and Sebastian was there. He was holding his heart; he was filled with joy. I leaned over to Adrian, "look at your dad, he's so happy". Adrian had the biggest smile while he waved at his dad. The rest of the shoot was a blur, being moved and directed in a bunch of different ways. I couldn't wait to get out of that dress. The photographer announced that last shot and I couldn't wait. Adrian asked me to go to dinner before I left the studio. I smiled and looked uncomfortable. "I wore workout clothes; I didn't bring anything else. I didn't know we had dinner after.". Adrian shrugged and walked off. I was so confused about, whether we were going to dinner or not. I got out of that dress as fast I could. I fixed my hair and took some of my makeup off. I was starting to feel more like a clown less like Barbie with the hot studio lights melting my makeup. I walked out and looked out. I didn't see Adrian and or anyone. I figured dinner was a no-go. Before I was out the door, Sebastian stopped me. "I apologize, something came up at work and Adrian had to attend to it. He won't be able to make dinner. He seemed quite disappointed". Instantly I knew that he had covered for me. It was time to pay him back. "Oh, thank goodness, I'm so exhausted from the shoot. I didn't want to disappoint Adrian; he was very excited". Sebastian said "I guess it all worked out then. See you later my dear" as he walked away.
