We arrived in front of the Weasley twins under the confused gaze of Hermione who followed right behind me.
"Hello gentlemen," I announced to the two. They both turned around in sync before staring at each other.
"What can we…"
"Do for you..." they said as the one on the left finished the sentence for the one on the right. I swear they are the same person.
"I was wondering if you can get me this list of candies," I said handing them a list. They looked at it and nodded before going into their rooms. They came back a while later and handed us the candies, I paid for them before leaving.
"I didn't know that they sold candies and other stuff, I thought they only pranked the other students with their failed products," said Hermione with a surprised expression as she looked at the candies with suspicion.
"Don't be so surprised, they sell a lot more than that, we need to get the materials for the potion we're taking later on from them as well," I added right after she finished speaking.
"They can get us the materials?" she asked sceptically. I guess she had little faith in the duo.
I simply nodded, "they are able to smuggle anything and everything in and out of the school for the right price," I commented as we walked back to the tables and finished the final touches on our letters before sending them to our parents.
Soon Christmas day rolled around and early in the morning, I could hear Harry and Ron opening packages when no one was around, it was funny to see. Most students had already left back to their homes to spend time with their families, only a few remained.
Harry got his signature invisibility cloak which would help him get to the mirror or erised.
Ron soon spotted me coming down the stairs in my tracksuit, I could see him sporting an annoyed look.
"You don't even leave for the holidays, you're such nerds," he commented.
I walked up to him silently and stood a ruler's length away.
"Well, Mr Weasley, this "nerd" can break your bones over his knee at any given time, say the word, I'm itching to do so," I said savagely. Ron's face visible paled as he took several steps backwards.
"what's wrong? Cat got your tongue? If you don't have the strength to back up your words then don't speak them at all," I said before walking out of the common room where Hermione was waiting.
"Did you have to say all that?" she asked turning her head towards me as she leaned on the wall.
"I don't feel like hearing that first thing in the morning, so a little lesson will teach him to shut up, it's not like I touched him, otherwise he would squeal like a little rat," I said while shrugging my shoulders.
"As long as it doesn't go too far, I don't want you getting in trouble," she said sternly.
Yesss, Professor Granger," I said teasingly. Hermione giggled before standing up straight and walking beside me was as we head towards the castle grounds for our run. During said run I found it refreshing, the cold air splashing over my face woke whatever drowsiness remained inside of me. It seemed to also work for Hermione as she was shivering like a wet cat on snow. It made me laugh which resulted in a massive snowball blasting me to the ground. I was caught completely off guard and when I realised what hit me, I grin evilly.
"Bad choice little girl," I said before waving my wand and forming 5 big snowballs that hovered in mid-air close to me. Hermione's pale face paled further as her smile disappeared and, in its place, a pitiful expression appeared.
"That face won't work, you start-" I couldn't finish before another snowball hit me in the face which caused me to fall to the ground. The snow I was levitating fell due to my lapse in concentration and also landed on me, burying me underneath.
I could hear Hermione's laugh through the snow which started to piss me off. The snow started to melt as the heat rose, it turned into water which soaked my clothes before turning into steam as my hands turned bright red. I walked out of the snow nice and dry which stunned Hermione.
"Was that a Spell?" she asked. I had to nod; it was too early to tell her about my secrets. I had gotten much better at controlling Drak's power and with it came the ability to heat up my body and create flames from my hands.
I haven't tested how big or how destructive it is since there isn't a safe place to do so. The forest is the worst place, the last thing I need is to burn it down. Shaking away the thoughts I levitated another 5 snowballs before sending them speeding towards Hermione.
I didn't wait this time and they pelted her like a submachine gun. She fell on her ass with a thud which trigger my laughter, I honestly regret it as she sent another one which landed in my mouth, effectively shutting me up. I clenched my jaw shut as heat evaporated the snow. I controlled a massive amount of snow before dropping it on Hermione.
I laughed for a solid 2 minutes before realising that she hadn't appeared. 'Is my luck so bad that I buried my friend in the snow?' I asked myself as I started to panic. I sprinted toward the mound before spreading flames all over the pile, soon a massive snowball sent me flying, my legs ended up in the air as my head was buried completely in the snow.
I could hear her laughing, "I got you, you're so gullible," she commented between bursts of laughter. Fuck, I should have left you there to suffocate. I pulled myself out to see her shivering intensely, she had stopped laughing a little while ago.
I sighed heavily before flicking her forehead and taking off my jacket which I had heated slightly using my ability and draping it over her shoulders before walking away. "Come on, enough playing, let's get you inside before you turn into a popsicle," I said with a chuckle.
Hermione stared at Tom's back as she grabbed onto his jacket that covered her tightly, it was incredibly warm and comfortable. A slightly pink hue covered her cheeks as a soft smile graced her face. She chased after his withdrawing figure.
"Hey! wait for me!"
