As I walked down the stairs, I couldn't help but laugh at the conversation just now, I revealed a lot of information that I theoretically shouldn't know.

[If you know that then why did you do it?] Drak asked.

'Because it was necessary. Well, partly, the other part was me wanting to mess with him. Sure, it was reckless, but do I care? Not really. Dumbledore is too busy trying to mold Harry into the Voldy destroyer. I don't have a problem with that, I don't believe in the prophecy that only either one of the two can kill each other. That is pure nonsense in my opinion. Power dictates the winner, not fate and strings and all that shit,' I said as I walked down the nearest corridor while my footsteps echoed.

'As for why it's necessary, well that is because I need to him to teach me and provide me with the materials needed to improve within the school grounds. I need access to the forbidden section in the library and Helping Harry will facilitate the process. And If Dumbledore knows that I am even remotely promising with the knowledge I have just shown he will not hesitate to provide me with what I need,'

'He is a teacher after all, so I will be able to learn the expecto patronum from him which I wouldn't be able to learn from Lupin. I could use Legilimency on Harry after Lupin teaches him but why go through so much effort. It is all a part of the plan, naturally, in order to make him teach me properly, I will need to allow the basilisk to do its job until the school is borderline shutting down next year. Like a marvellous clown once said, "if your good at something never do it for free", simple as that'

[you're evil]

'HA! Your one to speak, "Dragon of fire and destruction" what part of that name doesn't scream out evil?' Drak didn't speak, after all, it was sound logic. Sure, it could be wrong but from what he told me about his past I was sure I wasn't.

[Anyway, I'm starting to wonder which one is the schemer here, you, or the old man,] Drak said with a chuckle.

'That's beside the point, what I'm doing must be done if I'm going to get stronger.'

I walked back down towards the great hall where the students were eating and talking. The competition between Hermione and me was that the loser would do the homework of the other for the rest of the school year. So, about a month, I somehow struggled to see how this was a punishment for her, and maybe, she set it that way on purpose, so win or lose, she benefits.

I saw Hermione sitting down on a table and when she noticed me, she beamed a triumphant smile. I couldn't help but smile and shake my head, I thought about what her face would look like when she saw all the eggs I got. She got up and put her hands on her hips with a smile still on her face.

"What are you smiling at?" *gasp* "You don't think you've won, do you?" I said teasingly while grinning. Hermione saw my face and her smile dimmed a little. I didn't really care and simply tipped all the eggs I got over the table. I then realised it was a bad choice as all the eggs came bursting out and spread all over the table. Some rolled off and onto the ground.

This naturally caught the attention of the people at our table and even the surrounding tables. The teachers also looked over, and I even saw Dumbledore sitting down in his usual spot with a knowing smile. I could only shake my head at my miscalculation.

Hermione by now was no longer smiling but could instead be seen pouting as she looked at the massive number of eggs all over the place. She then looked at her medium-sized bucket that reached her knees and sighed in disappointment. Just as I was about to claim the prize Dumbledore got up and made his way over before patting the discouraged Hermione on the shoulder.

"Mr Knight, you wouldn't want to claim being the winner with the method you used. Would you?" he said with an arched brow. Everyone looked at Dumbledore before looking at me. I frowned heavily at his words.

"There were no rules to begin with," I argued, it was a fact.

"Oh! But there is, here take a look, only you didn't follow them," I took the piece of parchment that Dumbledore summon out of thin air. It only had one fucking rule on it! No use of large-scale spells. I finally understood, Dumbledore was a petty old man. Hermione who looked at the parchment looked up at me and seemed to realise something and then she beamed a bright smile.

"I won, hahaha, I won, Tom, you're doing my homework for the rest of the year," she said laughing happily. My frown deepened as soon as she finished her words, not only that but as soon as others heard what she said, they began to laugh as well. I really had the urge to use fiendfyre on all of these fuckers.

[Hahahaha, who told you to fuck with the old man kid,] Drak burst into laughter. Dumbledore showed a triumphant smile as he gazed down at me. I couldn't help but praise the old man, he really knows how to make the best use of the situation. There is no way to refute this since all the teachers would back Dumbledore and I would come off as bad-tempered for refuting the clearly stated "Rules" the old goat came up with on the spot.

Hermione was too caught up on finally beating me at something that she didn't realise the oddities in the situation. I could only sigh and give in. Karma really is a bitch. 'I'll make sure to get you back for this' I thought as I glared at Dumbledore. He smiled warmly not caring much for my glare and walked away.

The night passed like this with everyone happy except me who was stuck doing the girl's homework. Even Ron decided to grow a pair of balls and started teasing me to no end. That was the straw that broke the camel's back, I snapped and punted the red-headed idiot across the common room. The kid had the audacity to come here and wantonly spout shit. Who gave him such courage?
