New Prophecy

The smoke swirled as it took on shapes before undoing it. This reminded me of the Mirror of Erised. It seemed to not be able to make its mind up. The man was beginning to frown. Several minutes went by and still nothing. Just when I was ready to get up and leave, the crystal shattered, and a massive black skull made of smoke appeared in the room.

I tried to move but I was paralysed. Not out of fear, but something was stopping me from moving. My attention waned from the skull when I noticed the man drop off his chair and onto the floor where he began to convulse severely. A couple of moments later, he stopped and slowly got up with a lifeless look in his eyes. The skull turned to him and seeped into his body. His eyes turned completely black as he stared at me.

"The prophecy has been shattered. No more are they fated to fight for a new soul has descended from the skies above. The roar of a Dragon shall fan the flames of war once more, one that will shake the foundations of magic itself. Many will participate, from neighbours to those of distant lands. Secrets shall be revealed for all to see, chaos shall ensue, and the ending result will decide the fate of millions. Loved ones shall perish if not careful. The clash of titans shall soon be upon us." The man said in an eerie voice before the skull seeped out of his body like smoke through the gaps on a door. The skull took one last look at me before dissipating into nothingness.

'What. The Fuck. Was that?' I asked in my head. I had a splitting headache for some reason.

[We'll have to wait and see kid,] said Drak solemnly. I 100% knew he knows something. Achlys probably knows something too but are refusing to tell me. I have my guessed. But there were many possibilities. Too many in fact. Considering what Drak and Achlys were talking about before, I can only think it has something to do with that.

I then threw the thoughts to the back of my head. I wouldn't get anywhere with speculations and hypotheses about what could or couldn't happen. Power was all that mattered. With it, I wouldn't care who came to hurt the people I loved. I would crush them completely with no hope in sight.

This only served to motivate me further. I could only wait and react to the changes that occurred around me. There was only so much I could do with this information as my current self. I then walked forward and helped the man back to his chair. He was holding his head with a deep frown etched on his face.

"You ok?" I asked.

"Y-Yes, I should be fine. What happened?" he asked.

"Nothing, you just fell unconscious after the crystal exploded." I lied. He didn't need to know something that didn't concern him.

"The crystal ball exploded?! and nothing else? T-That seems very strange. I'm sorry for that young man. This visit is free of charge since I have inconvenienced you." He said with a warm smile. I shook my head and handed him 10 galleons.

"Why?" he asked as he held the money.

"For the Crystal ball, after all, it was because of me that it blew up. Is that enough to cover it?" I asked. I had no clue how much it cost.

He shook his head slightly. "Sadly no, but this is more than-" I cut him off and handed him a pouch with 200 hundred galleons.

"This should be enough, right?" I asked.

"This is. Thank you very much, young man." He said with much appreciation.

"The least I could do. Have a nice day." I waved and walked out of the store and took a breath of fresh air, absent the fumes of scented candles.

"Young master was it necessary to give him so much money?" asked Alfred. I didn't answer right away and instead cast the muffliato spell.

"I did so because he provided me with a warning and insight. That prophecy I just received is worth much more than 200 galleons. A war is coming Alfred. And I'll be damned if I let anyone I care about be caught in the crossfire. This visit has been incredibly fruitful. Now let's head to the Hotel, I need to start training my new ability." I said before heading back the way I came. I had already spent an hour here and I only covered a fraction of the magical district.

It seemed I would have to make another visit.

Unbeknownst to Tom.

[This Is not good Achlys. This is just like the last time. We now know something is coming, but we don't know when. And worst of all, Tom isn't even remotely ready to go to war. Fuck, this is such bad timing.] Drak cursed in anger.

{ it's not that bad when you think about it. we let him eavesdrop on us so that he has some knowledge of what's to come. The good thing is, we know something is coming. Before it was uncertain, now it is confirmed. We can plan for that. But you are right, Tom is far from ready yet. But we can't push him more than we are already. The boy is already running at maximum speed as it is. Any more and it will have an adverse effect.} Achlys said.

[Your right. The good thing is that the plan doesn't need to change. We can still reap massive benefits from the plan me and Tom came up with.] Said Drak.

{What do you mean? What plan?} asked Achlys.

Drak took the time to explain the plan he and Tom had concocted, and the purpose. Achlys was laughing his head off when he heard it.

{I like it. I understand how useful this plan will be when we take into account the prophecy we just heard.}
