Simply unreasonable

I silently sat on my bed. It all fit. The wand was nothing but a stick. Its only purpose, to tease humanity for eternity as they chase after it forever.

{What I want to know, is how the fuck you know all this?} asked Achlys. I just realised we had revealed stuff that wouldn't make sense. With some quick thinking, I decided to pull a Drak.

"You will find out when the time is right," I spoke. Or was I pulling a Dumbledore? Who knew.

{Tch, screw the both of you.} Achlys said in a pouting tone which only served to make me and Drak laugh.

"Why Grindelwald though Drak? Why not dumbledore? Wouldn't he be easier to convince?" I suddenly asked.

[The answer is simple, he, in my opinion, is the superior wizard. He might have a flawed ideology, but he is an incredible wizard, nonetheless. Training under him will be very beneficial to you. And having him in your corner to convince people to support your changes in the ministry will prove to be very useful.] he analysed.

I couldn't help but agree with his reasoning. Grindelwald did have a way with his words. Having his assistance would prove to be of great use.

"But wouldn't he try to make a comeback?" I asked doubtfully. "I mean, why would he help me?"

[Because the old man has nothing better to do except rot in a cell. It's been almost half a century since he was locked up in that tower. Who knows how he is now. We can make changes to the plan depending on his reaction to our proposition. As for him making a comeback, that is not likely. Otherwise, he wouldn't have locked himself away in his own prison.]

I nodded in understanding. This all hinged on Grindelwald's decision. I could only hope the old man was bored enough to help me.

With that thought in mind, I went to sleep since tomorrow I would be heading towards Ilvermorny, where I would be spending the next half a year at. I needed to make the most of my time and absorb as much knowledge as I could. I would also talk to the headmaster and give them my proposition. If they refused, I would have no choice but to sneak around and find it. But let's hope it doesn't come down to that.

The next day came rolling in like any other and with it, a sense of excitement for the new and fascinating things I would experience. I got dressed in my usual Hawaiian outfit since walking around in a school uniform that didn't match the one in this town would be very conspicuous. I then looked at Alfred. He wouldn't be able to come along with me looking like that.

"Alfred are you able to change shape?" I asked.

"Naturally, I can grow or shrink to varying degrees and change shapes." He acknowledged.

"Good, change into an earring for me please," I said with a smile. I told him to make it look exactly like Achlys. That way I would have a silver one and a black one. Once again the symbolism of light and dark kept appearing. Once that was done, I walked out the door, with three powerhouses around me at all times.

I stepped out of the hotel and walked at a leisurely pace towards the gate that led to the gathering. It was placed in a coffee shop that had a charm placed on it to ward off muggles. But the charm was only active for the duration of the yearly gathering.

As I walked in I found kids of varying ages sitting around the tables with drinks. The only constant was that they were 11 or over. Some looked over to me, probably attracted by the vibrant colours. Then they would give me odd stares, again, probably due to the outfit and the tattoos. I walked towards the counter and ordered myself a tea. I didn't mind coffee, but I had grown fond of tea recently.

The bartender didn't dawdle and soon came back with my hot drink. I sat there silently listening in to the conversations of some of the students.

"Did you hear that some Grindelwald fanatics escaped out of prison?" asked one of the kids. He was older, maybe 16 and was sitting around a table with others of a similar age.

"Yeah, I did. But it shouldn't be a problem, my dad said that they would fix it soon. But did you hear about the fiasco that happened a couple of days ago involving a group of adults and a kid in a hawaiia—" his words drifted as he gazed up at me.

I grinned and raised a hand to my mouth. I could see the boy swallow as he visibly pales.

"What? Kaleb what happened?" asked the first kid as he tried to turn around to look in my direction.

"N-Nothing! I just forgot something, and I know that my dad will kill me when he catches me." Said Kaleb with a forced smile. He stole glances at me.

"Dumbass, whatever. I know what you mean. They say that the kid is ultra-talented. He used weird flame magic that ate up the spells and sent them back to the attackers. Then there's his butler, he brutally destroyed the legs of 3 men. The kid is ruthless." The boy continued to talk, but the more he said the paler Kaleb got as he continued to steal glances at me.

His little actions made me laugh. I then concentrated on a group of girls in another corner.

"Did you hear that Professor Michael returned from his holiday in Russia? We can finally have our defence against the dark arts professor back. I just hope he doesn't make us fight beasts in the arena again-"

"PFFFFT!" the coffee shop turned silent as everyone turned in the direction of the sound. Tea dripped off the bartender's face. He looked at me reproachfully. I smiled awkwardly, it couldn't be helped, what the girl had just said was simply unreasonable. As If I had actually guessed that too. I also got excited at the prospect of versing beasts in an arena.

Everyone soon lost interest but gave me some weird looks.

"As I was saying, I hope he doesn't make us go into the arena again. Although it's useful, it's scary. Once he even brought a dragon." She finished.

"Who do you guys think will participate in the intercontinental tournament this decade?" asked another girl.

"Well, Peter has been working hard on his spells, Francis is very good a duelling even with his limited number of spells. Then there's Sabrina, she is incredibly good at reading her opponents. But my bet is on Samuel, after all, he has been the prefect of the Wumpus cat house for years now. not to mention he's the president of the duelling club." She said confidently.
