And so it begins

"PFFFT! S-Samual, the kid just told you to fuck off. I'm done." Another kid said as he burst into laughter as he pointed at the kid who just kicked Percival.

Samuel's frown intensified significantly at the other kids' words and looked down at Percival. He reached forward and grabbed the latter by the collar and began to shake him vigorously, awakening him again. But before he could argue he was thrown to the ground again.

"Are you Thomas Knight!" he yelled. Percival looked at him as if he was an idiot while patting the dust off his body.

"No, you dumbass. My name is Percival, the boy next to me is Tom," he said pointing at the sleeping Tom next to him. But as soon as Samuel took another step, he was stopped by Percival who placed a hand on his chest.

"Ah-Ah-Ah! Not so fast. Think about it, he just froze almost the entire student body, in an instant. Do you think your dumb ass will be able to even touch him? Don't get me wrong, I would love to see you get your ass handed to you. But it would cause more trouble and slow down this already tedious process. So, let's do all of us a favour and avoid the ass kicking and stand silently as we wait for everyone else." He recommended before sitting back down and closing his eyes.

Samuel scoffed, ignored Percival's warning and stepped forward. Yet, he was stopped one again, but this time by the kid who was making fun of him earlier.

"Not this time Sam. What the kid said was right, he's not someone you want to mess with. back off from now." He said in a serious tone.

"Fuck off Francis, this kid needs to be humbled." Sam insisted and stomped forward and grabbed Tom by the collar before winding his fist back and sending it barrelling forward. yet, just as it was about to hit his face, Tom leaned his head sideway avoiding it before his eyes burst open and a flash of light came out of it.

Sam suddenly stumbled backwards as a swarm of bats assaulted him creating a cloud around him. He screamed in fear as he waved his arms about in a frenzied manner in an attempt to swat them away.

But his hysterical actions only made everyone else look at him oddly. They heard him screaming 'bats' but there was nothing there. It was only him waving his arms around like a madman. It was comical.

But to everyone's surprise, Tom stepped forward and directly kicked Sam in the diaphragm making him drop to his knees instantly as he gasped for breath. Saliva was dripping from his mouth as he hunched over hugging his stomach area.

Tom crouched and grabbed Sam by the hair pulling his face upwards, "Do you have a problem with me?" he asked. Sam who saw Tom's face and recalled what happened began to shiver slightly before shaking his head slightly.

"That's what I thought. Disappointing to see that the renown duelling club president is simply a monkey holding a wand. Don't attack students for no reason. Keep your arrogance in check if you don't have the power to back it up. This is your first and final warning." He said sternly before looking at everyone else.

He looked at Francis and then at the woman next to him and then at the silent kid behind the duo.

"I take it your Francis, Sabrina and Peter." He said to their surprise.

"Y-yeah. Sorry about Sam. He's used to being the best among us, so he acts this way." said Francis with a helpless smile. Sabrina silently nodded as she looked at Tom. And Peter nodded vigorously.

"I can understand that, so I won't hold a grudge. You look like decent people who can judge when to and when not to fight. Keep this one in check please." He said before glancing at the other four who were scatter about. He didn't know then or hear of them, so he didn't approach them. He directly sat down where he was before and closed his eyes.

There was only the sound of Sam's incessant coughing. Francis and his gang dragged Sam away to a nearby stool where they help him get better.

I closed my eyes and reviewed the battle. The illusion ability is much more useful than I had previously thought. It literally rivals the sharingan. And the amount of magic I used wasn't that much either. It seemed incredibly useful and something I could use in a multitude of ways. From sneaking around to created illusory clones of himself to confuse the enemy. They wouldn't have any power, but that wasn't the point.

"What did you do to him? He was screaming 'bats' and acting like a lunatic." Asked Percival.

"A simple illusion." I responded without explaining.

"I see, your full of surprises." He commented before remaining silent. And just like that, two more hours passed before everyone was gathered at the gates. By now, everyone knew who I was as they stared at me. I was dubbed 'the hated one' by everyone. I couldn't help but chuckle at the name.

"And here I was hoping for 'the chosen one'." I joked as I quietly mumbled to myself. There were whispers but the good thing was, nobody made the connection between me and the boy who fought on the street. I had also asked Achlys to obliviate the boy that knew who I was so that it wouldn't spread. After all, I did break the rules and evade capture.

But I wouldn't stay in America long enough for them to know where I went. And even if they did know I was here, I would be long gone by the time they arrived.

"Everyone! Welcome to another year at Ilvermorny. My name is Randal Samford, and I am a professor of transfiguration and also the vice principle. I am in charge of leading you in for the regular old sorting ceremony.

But before that, a round of applause to this year's top ten stair climb winners. And especially to the newcomer and first to finish, Thomas Knight!" he announced loudly. Everyone looked in my direction with hatred and indignance as they gave forced claps. I couldn't help but look up at the old man.

He gave me a smile and waved his hand which caused the gates to open.

I was finally starting my new school year, 1992, September 1st, ilvermorny.
