It was as if I was being held by rough, sturdy hands. They lifted my unconscious form and carried me away, until I was placed on a soft and warm spot, I found comfort in lying there. The muffled sounds of voices reached my ears, so faint and distant. And with that my consciousness was quickly slipping away once more, nuzzling deeply into the soft material- this time I wasn't so scared.

As consciousness slowly returned to me, all I was met with was darkness. The cold flew into my bones and I could feel my body trembling as I tried to move, only to find myself trapped. My heart began to race and the anxiety slowly crept into me as I heard footsteps piercing the silence, growing louder and louder heading towards me until a cold voice echoed through the room "She is awake." After that, the silence filled my ears once more. I knew that I was no longer alone here, when the sound of footsteps rolled once again, this time more heavier and closer then the ones before.
"Get the bag down" a deep voice was heard in the room as I got the stinky cloth off of my face. I squinted in discomfort as my eyes adjusted to the light. My confusion grew as I realized I was tied down and at the mercy of a familiar face, the man from Mr. Harrison's office, Colin.
His grin spread wide across his face as he mockingly spoke, "Well, well, well. What do we have here?" What an idiot.
My words came out with a bitter taste, as I spat out, "What do you want?" hoping to wound his pride. He sneered and made his way towards me. I met his gaze head on as he came closer, his hand closing over my cheeks, squeezing them tightly, he put on a smirk- I could see he was annoyed. "My beautiful lady," he whispered, "What I really want to know is, who do you really work for?" He said, my brows scrunching with confusion, I expected…something more?.
"What?- for Mr. Harrison obviously" I couldn't help but think how foolish he was. My answer seemed to annoy him even more,"Listen here you-" but before he could finish, another voice resounded in the room, interrupting him.
"Colin." Colin clicked his tongue and retreated from me, his grip leaving my now redding cheeks. Into the room walked a tall and strongly shaped man, his gaze pointed sharply at Colin. His eyes were so beautiful, a striking golden hue, like the stars shining on a clear night sky, they were so hypnotic, drawing me in. What is with those men and their eyes? The man's presence seemed to fill the room- for some reason I felt safer.
His golden eyes then fell on me scanning me thoroughly, I felt so naked even though I was fully covered. I could see his eyes twitch when he met mine, stopping his motion he quickly looked at Colin.
"What the fuck is this?" He exclaimed, his voice filled with a mix of confusion and despair. Colin looked at him, his forehead furrowed in confusion, "What do you mean?- ouch!" Suddenly, the man struck the back of Colin's head with a sharp slap, "Are you an idiot? Who is this woman?", mentioning to me.
Colin rubbed the back of his head and yelled, "I'm an idiot?! Boss I clearly remember myself telling you about her, you even said-" Colin's tone suddenly shifted, becoming more deep and stern, "Alright, bring her in." Colin is most likely mocking the man who now sighs in frustration pinching the bridge of his nose. "Colin you-", he paused his ramp and looked at me. As if not wanting to be violent in front of me, he pushed Colin out of the door, closing it. After that all I could hear were loud thuds and what I presumed were slaps, yelling and cursing? I was just sitting there, staring at the door wincing in cringe every now and then. I couldn't help but let out a soft chuckle at the absurdity of this, two grown men fighting like children who want to play with the same toy right behind the door. I still didn't know who that man was, but I had a feeling that I would be seeing him again soon, and unfortunately… The same feeling held its weight for Colin as well. That bastard will surely be the death of me.
About 3 minutes later the door creaked open, and into the room strode grumpy Colin, the other guy was nowhere to be seen. Colin approached me with heavy steps, the sound of his footsteps echoed through the room, "Listen here," he grumbled, "you don't ask questions and you forget this ever happened. You are working for us now and before you start babbling about Harrison, he knows." With a flick of his wrist, he untied my hands, freeing me.
I winced as I rubbed my sore wrists, still red and stingy from the tight ropes. Just then, Colin's voice cut through my thoughts.
"Okay, listen up. You'll start work at 9am tomorrow. You'll be heading to the top floor of Zero Enterprises." The name echoed in my mind, Zero Enterprises? The mention of that name sent chills down my spine, did I hear him right?. Colin's sharp tone brought me back to reality, "Hey! Are you listening?" I blinked. "Oh yeah, sorry and I have a name you know?..." I mumbled, feeling a flush of embarrassment. Colin simply sight at my incompetence and continued, "Just remember, tomorrow is your first day so don't screw it up, and for the love of eternity don't piss the boss off"
And with that, he calmly walked out of the room gesturing to me to follow him, 'Just who is his boss?'
.
.
""Boss, what are your plans with her, I know that you want her to work with us but-?" Colin asked, a bit annoyed, but at the same time curious.
The boss thought for a moment, smirking as he replied, " Harrison gave her to us, let's put her to a good use, let's see what the girl is capable of."
