Lorelei's eyes got pinned on the sight just meters away from her. Her mouth agape and her mind blank for a second, leaving her completely unable to think nor react to their current situation.

This was precisely why she opposed Jace's suggestion to meet at his place. The moment he asked her, she was afraid something like this would happen one way or another. And now… it's really happening.
