Chapter 25: The Return

Mike and Georgia entered Route 8. Route 8 was an amazing sight to see, it was one of the best Routes they have seen. Route 8 started spooky, with dead trees and leaves everywhere, until it turned into the most beautiful valley route ever. There were beautiful, colorful flowers everywhere. They decided to sit down on a bench and take a break. Then, Mike asked Georgia a question. Mike asked Georgia about herself and her family. Georgia said she was born and raised in Hewdemo City, which was far away from where they were from right now. She said she had 5 badges, but quit because her parents visited a different region to visit family, and she was stuck taking care of her 2 younger siblings.

Her parents had returned and she was allowed to continue on her journey. Georgia said her mom was a Gym leader at the Hewdemo Gym and her dad was a subway driver for the HRT. (Hammerton Rapid Transit) Mike said that his mother was kidnapped by Team Boom and her father died as a Team Boom member, as he was forced to. He said his goal was to defeat them. They continued walking down Route 8, battling the trainers. They got a pat on the shoulder and it was Carson! Carson couldn't even recognize him as Mike looked completely different. Carson asked who the girl beside Mike was. Mike said that was Georgia, a friend he made after Carson left. Carson wasn't with Sandra. Carson said that Sandra was caught cheating with another friend of Carson's and left her. Carson decided that it was the best move for him.

He also claimed he won against Michelle on his 2nd try and that he and Mike have a battle, as he had trained. The battle had started. Mike sent out Dartrix and Carson sent out Crabrawler. Dartrix lead off with a Shadow Claw, but Crabrawler came back with a Thunder Punch, Dartrix used Slash, which knocked out Crabrawler. Carson sent out his ace, Wartortle. Wartortle looked stronger when Mike last saw it. Wartortle came in with an Ice punch and knocked out Dartrix with ease. Mike sent out his brand new Litwick. Litwick used Ember and burned Wartortle, but Wartortle one shot Litwick with a Water Pulse. Mike sent out his final Pokemon, Zorua. Zorua used Night Slash, and Wartortle came back with a Tail Whip, Zorua used Night Slash again. Wartortle used a powerful Water Pulse on it, but Zorua was able to hold in and finished Wartortle off with a Tackle.

Carson said that Mike was still stronger than him, but was eventually going to be stronger. Mike, Carson, and Georgia walked through Route 8 and almost reached Moako City...
