Chapter 26: The Dojo

The gang was almost at Moako City until the mysterious old man popped out of the bush and gave Mike another quote, "Practice makes Perfect" Mike was thinking about that quote, he thought to himself that he was probably going to lose the gym battle and decided to train. Carson said that there was a dojo in Moako City and to go there. They finally entered Moako City, it was a busy metropolis with giant skyscrapers and tall office buildings, on the way to their hotel, many people were complimenting Mike and Georgia's new outfits, as they were hip and trendy.

Carson was just wearing a simple black shirt, grey sweatpants, and a couple of worn-out sneakers. Mike asked Carson about the hotel as he booked it. He said it was the best one in Moako City, but it was very expensive. It had a big restaurant, a giant pool, a business center, and a massage parlor. Mike wanted to hit up the giant pool first, and Georgia wanted to go visit the massage parlor, but Carson stopped them saying that they had to visit the dojo first and that they can do those stuff another time. They went to the hotel, dropped off their stuff, and went to the dojo, Mike thought the dojo would be a karate studio with a big gong.

When they entered, it was just a room filled with Showers. Mike asked the instructor, Rick, why this dojo was filled with showers. Rick said that this dojo was supposed to make you stronger mentally, not physically. The 3 of them got changed into their swimsuits and got under the warm shower. They sent out their Pokemon, but Mike decided not to send out Litwick since it was weak to water. Mike said to Rick that he didn't feel a difference, Rick told Mike that he wouldn't feel it physically happening. It would change his mind mentally. Rick said that it would make him and his Pokemon more concentrated and aware of their actions around them.

They were in the shower for 5 minutes until Mike asked how a shower would make them stronger. Rick said that a special Japanese powder was added in there to give their spatial senses a boost. The 3 of them were standing in the showers for 20 minutes until their time was up. Since they were new members, they got a 30-minute shower for free. Rick also gave a special powder to Mike to dust on Litwick. He said that it was less effective than the shower, he gave to users who had Fire, Rock, and Ground-type Pokemon. They got changed and exited the dojo until Mike remembered something very important!
