Chapter 27: A Grave Discovery

The gang returned to the Hotel room to take a small nap. When everyone woke up, Mike had remembered that his father's grave was at Moako Cemetary. Georgia had bought some flowers for Mike to put on his father's grave. They reached the Cemetary and the grave said Ryan Michael Hatterton. 1971-2005: Loving Husband, To-Be Father, Brother, and Son. Mike was getting sad when seeing his father's grave, He knew that his remains were right below him. Mike wasn't really that upset when he saw the grave. Michael put the flowers that Georgia bought on his father's grave. He then decided to leave the cemetery. They were walking out until they saw a girl, who seemed to be about their age.

Mike went up to her and said Hello. She greeted in a response. Mike asked why she was hanging out in the cemetery. She said her name was Mei and she liked to chill out in the cemetery. She also said she was the gym leader and the lead funeral director of this city. Mike asked what Mei did for a living, She responded that she directed funerals from people around Moako City was a very busy woman. Mike wanted to battle Mei to get his third badge but she said that she had a funeral service to do that evening, but she was free the next afternoon at 12:00 PM. Mike asked if she knew anything about his father's funeral, but Mei said she started to be the funeral director of this city for 2 months ago when she took over from her father, who retired. She said her father might know about the details of Ryan's Funeral.

Mei took the three of them up to her father's apartment. Her father's name was Wei. Wei had done over 1000 funerals in Moako City and remembered each one of them. Mike asked if he knew about Ryan Hatterton's Funeral. Wei said that Ryan's funeral was the most disappointing funeral that he had ever directed. Only his wife, who was pregnant with Mike, His Brother, Kevin, His mother, Linda, His father, Morris had come to the funeral service. Most of his friends and his relatives didn't come because they thought Ryan had betrayed them by joining Team Boom but didn't know he was forced to.

He then said that a week after his father's funeral, many people were throwing garbage and trash at Ryan's Grave for betraying them. It was an unpleasant time, but most of the citizens had forgotten about this incident. Wei thought that Team Boom was inactive because they haven't started any mischief in Moako City in the past 3-4 years. Mike said that Team Boom had kidnapped his mother and wanted to restart Hammerton to be their way. Wei thanked Mike for the heads up and made a commitment to make Moako City safe from any Team Boom Mischief. They left his apartment, headed back to the hotel for a fancy dinner, went to sleep, and was prepared for the gym battle, the next morning.
