Chapter 35: The Ruins

Georgia was thinking about how the ice-type legendaries started Hammerton. She read a book before, where there was a rumor that the home of the legendaries was inside Mt. Aloran. People had tried finding them but there was no luck. They started to walk on Route 11 where there were some ancient ruins. They decided to enter the ruins. The ruins had a small ceiling, which was around 7 feet high.

Suddenly, Mike stepped on a tile, which caved in the entrance. They were stuck in the ruins. Georgia thought there was something important in these ruins because there was a trap tile. They walked carefully, watching their every step. They were walking looking for an exit until Georgia saw a motion sensor in a hallway close to the floor, She told Mike and Carson to jump over it. They continued walking through the scary ruins until the ruins became pitch black.

Luckily, Georgia had a powerful Lantern in her back which lit up the whole room. They kept on walking until they show some writing of Unown. Carson had an Unown to English dictionary on him. The writing said, "THE SPARTAN WILL DEFEAT ANYONE WHO COMES IN ITS WAY." Mike was really scared because there could be a spartan in the ruins. They kept on walking until they found another trap. It was a piece of string tied from one end to the other end of the hallway. Mike decided to throw a plastic container he had. The plastic container bent the string and a flamethrower shot flames from each of the sides past the string for 10 seconds. Mike was in shock, if he had accidentally tripped over that string, he would have died.

They jumped over the string and sprinted down that hallway. At the end, they saw a door, they tried opening it, but it was locked and you needed a key. Beside the door, was a set of staircases. They climbed while watching their steps and saw a coffin. The coffin opened by itself and the spartan jumped out and declared a battle. The spartan sent out Sandaconda and Mike sent out Decidueye. Sandaconda used Earth Power, but Decidueye knocked it out with a Leaf Storm. The Spartan out Cofagrigus. Cofagrigus used Shadow ball, which knocked Decidueye back, but Decidueye countered back with Spirit Shackle.

Cofagrigus used Shadow Ball, but Decidueye finished it off with Spirit Shackle. The Spartan sent out his Ace, Omastar. Omastar used Ice Beam, which knocked out Decidueye, then Mike sent out Zoroark disguised as Litwick, and finished it the Omastar off with a Dark Pulse. The Spartan was defeated, There was a key beside the Spartan's coffin for the door. Above the Spartan was the Frost Gem, which could summon the Ice Legendaries. Mike, Carson, and Georgia decided that it was best to leave it and tell Boomer. They opened the door and outside was Route 11, just a few steps later were the gate to Pentham Town...
