Olivia spent the next two night at the mansion. If it was up to her, she would be there until the nagging unease disappeared, but she needed to fly out for a meeting. She tried to assure herself by saying Carlos would be around to keep her family safe, but that proved to be difficult.
"Carlos, you're staying here."
"No."
"Stop saying 'no'," Olivia growled threateningly.
Carlos sighed. Olivia had been on her nerves for the past few days ever since she mentioned feeling a presence watching them. He did understand where her wariness came from, but they didn't only doubled their security, she had also ordered for another group to be thrown into the forest to secure the vast land.
He hadn't seen her so frantic for so many years, it baffled him.
"I didn't mean it that way, Miss Olivia." He rest his eyes on her tense face. "But I can't let you go by yourself."
"Vivian will come with me."
"No." The decisiveness was clear in his voice.
