??-??

p a s t e (Noun.)

a thick, soft, moist substance typically produced by mixing dry ingredients with a liquid.

Enya had never been drowned before, something she was pretty happy about. The feeling of finally being able to drag those first breaths through tortured lungs was almost as bad as the feeling of her chest trying to combust under the water’s pressure. Tears streamed down her cheeks as she finally coughed up the foreign liquid. It was killer. Her body flipped over the other way so her face was directed to the floor. Which made it much easier to throw up everything stuck in her system.

By the time she was done, she was hunched over in shock while hyperventilating. Her body was trying to make up for whatever air she had to go without. Whoever was by her side pulled her into their body and cooed comforting words into her ear. All she recognized was the feeling of their hands being coated in a liquid that was more dense than water.
