CXXVIII. The Fight of Two Great Enemies

Rellix stepped back, feeling her throat flood with her blood. She hadn't expected to meet Ssaull again, free from the constraints of their mutual agreement. Despite the circumstances, the female attempted to cut the skeletal dragon with the relic to take control of it, but thanks to previous experience, Ssaull managed to avoid cuts from the winged dragon's swords. To Rellix's surprise, he could even take blows and tail swipes from her as long as she kept the cuts clean. She didn't understand; her blows weren't gentle. Ssaull was supposed to feel slightly dazed from the pain after receiving several blows, but his gaze didn't change. The hybrid female could see the gaze and will of a dragon with the determination of thousands to win the fight.

"It doesn't make sense. Your race can't withstand so much pain, and for you, the simplest blow feels three times more damaging."
