Chapter 42: Hidden Meanings

"I'm hungry~" I grumbled, poking at random boxes as Darryl chuckles awkwardly from the other end of the room.

The apple turned out to be another one of the "masterpiece" by the artist which I couldn't understand as to why the lodge owner didn't think to set it aside in a glass casing to prevent people from mistaking it for edibles. 

Now this one have teeth marks as well... I sighed to myself as I slipped the apple back into my pocket.

Just as I was about to give up on the search for edibles, I stumbled upon a box of fireworks. No, in fact, it wasn't just ONE box. It was multiple cartons, filled to the brim with fireworks and firecrackers. I'm certain it is illegal but the likelihood of one setting off in such a cool and dry place is non-existent. However, wouldn't it be damp if they were to remove it from this area in a warmer temperature?
