"I'm sorry... Because of me... Shall we split the fine? Better yet, I'll pay for everything." Sol apologized as he holds out his hand to receive the slip of payment.
He frowns when I didn't do as asked and urges me to hand it over again by repeating the gesture. I grinned and patted his head before waving the slip above his head, to which he grew upset.
"Hey! Don't make fun of my height!" Sol grumbled as he tried grabbing at the slip before sneezing.
We both paused in our antics before I stared at his dripping wet clothes, soaked in pond water. I dropped the slip onto the table and wrapped him like a burrito before lifting him up.
"Ah?! H-hey! Put me down!" Sol squirmed about, reminding me of the caterpillar I once kept when I was a kid.
"Your leg is still injured. Relax. I don't want you to catch a cold... It was really terrible." I sighed, recalling how bad my first cold was.
