Chapter 100: The Words I Never Said

It felt like a long walk before the mist around us parted way. It felt like forever since the last time I've been following after Aries, trailing behind him as I watch his dependable and large back before me.

Eventually, he halted in his steps and releases my wrist. I unconsciously rubbed at it before he turns to face me. My breath caught in my throat as the sun began to set behind him.

His warm blue eyes seemed a little colder as our gazes met. Aries shifts his gaze to my hands, reaching to touch them as I followed his gaze.

"Did it hurt?" Aries frowns as I blinked blankly at the question.

"Huh?"

"You should have said something. It's red." Aries brushes his thumb over the red mark on my wrist as I realised what he was talking about.

"Oh... That's not it. I didn't even notice. It doesn't hurt. You don't need to worry about it." I gasped, grasping his hand swiftly as I caught his gaze once more.
