Chapter 99: Mysterious Woman

"Phew... If it weren't for this scent, I would have been lost hours ago." I sighed, resting my sore legs as I sat on a nearby rock.

I fanned myself with my shirt, the trench coat from earlier draped over my lap as I took slow laboured breaths from the long walk over here. I dabbed the handkerchief I just so happen to bring against my forehead as I observed my surroundings.

Lush greenery and the sound of the ocean a little further in the distance. Although I could hear the ocean waves much clearer than I did back at my place.

I wait for a few minutes, catching my breath as the feeling like I've been here before gradually begun to sink in. I stood up, brushing the dirt of my pants as I started the long climb heading uphill.

As I past several shrubberies and lookalike trees, I finally reach a clearing. I sighed in relief, thankful that there was some endpoint to that endless climb.
