Chapter 102: Against The Clock

I pry my open as soon as I heard Sol's breath start to slow, indicating that he had dozed off. I pressed my palm against the sheets, pushing myself up as his arm holding onto my waist fell to my side.

I tuck his hair behind his ear, staring at his face as I let my finger twirl around his curly locks. Sol mumbles something incoherent in his sleep before turning over to lay flat on his back as I smiled to myself.

"Just like how these two pendants are incomplete without the other... Please... remain by my side." I recall Sol's words from earlier which he had whispered in the hopes that I was still fast asleep.

I glanced at Sol who rolls over to his side, hogging the covers and shook my head with a sigh. "What a restless sleeper." I then trailed my fingers towards my neck, lifting the pendant as I brushed my thumb against it.

"... Rest well. Good night, Sol." I brushed Sol's bangs aside, lightly kissing his forehead as he moans in his sleep.
