Chapter 3: Hospital

Around 3 pm, same day.

Araki is on his way to the hospital to visit his grandfather currently in a hospital sick room. As soon as he enters, the hospital staff greets him as they are already familiar with him. They know how frequently he visits the hospital and takes care of his grandfather.

"Araki, nice coat. Where did you buy it?" "Your grandfather is waiting for you." He replied to them and continued his way to the sick room. Soon he arrived at the designated floor and knocks on the door many times.

"Come in." A voice came behind the door. It was his grandfather. He opened the door and saw his grandfather sitting on the bed with a box in his hands. Araki sat down beside the old man and took out some fruits he bought before going to the hospital.

"What's that box," Araki asked his grandfather immediately. However, he didn't answer the question as he peels an orange that Araki gave. He took a bite and offered one to Araki meaning eat with him.

"How did the entrance examination go? Did you pass?" He asks Araki still eating the orange nonchalantly. Araki just smiled as he starts to peel his orange.

"There're no results yet, but I know my results already and I am confident that I'll be accepted."

"Then, are the bracelets still holding up?" His grandfather looks at the black bracelets and saw no damage.

"Yeah, it's pretty sturdy, though I don't know if it would be able to defend on someone strong." Silence follows for a few seconds when his grandfather talks again.

"Are you still angry with him? Do you still want to catch him? You told me last time that you move on from it already. It has been years since he did it to me, it's no big deal." He turned serious as soon as he asked Araki of those questions. The same can be said to Araki as he starts to eat the orange more slowly.

"We've had this conversation already. I'm not going to chase him; however, I would catch him myself the moment he disobeys the law, especially the ones that align with the code and principles that you taught us. As soon as I got the news that he involves innocents and civilians on his shenanigans, no one's going to stop me."

His grandfather know how he feels when he said those words. He knows he would do what he said and he can't do anything about it. He only hopes that his other grandson doesn't do anything stupid or get caught before Araki reaches him.

"Let's stop this topic. Here, a gift for you. It's supposed to be a birthday gift to you, but it arrived late, and coincidentally, you just passed the exam so treat it as a celebratory gift." The gloomy mood disappears as he smiles and passes the box to Araki.

"You can open it now if you want to." "I'd rather open it later, maybe when the results arrive. Maybe a miracle can happen and I don't pass." They laughed at each other as they continued to talk about some random things. They finished a few hours later as Araki leaves the hospital and went home.

--One week later—

"Araki, there's a letter from U.A. High School on the mailbox. Come down and get it." Araki's aunt shouts since Araki is locked in his room playing games.

"Coming!" Araki went outside and took the letter and went back to his room immediately. He opens the letter and puts down the device on the table. A hologram then pops out and the image of All Might can be seen. If he was a normal teenager, he would be excited and listen to what he is going to say word by word.

"I am here as a---" Araki ignored the message and took the box his grandfather gave him. He removes the ribbon and opens the box revealing the gift he is thinking about for the past week.

"' A King's Balisong', he really knows the stuff, huh. He's in the hospital but still tried to buy a gift for me. This is beautiful." Araki smiles as he wonders at the beauty of the newly received butterfly knife.

In the background, All Might's hologram is showing his score as he does some tricks on his knife.

-U.A., Teacher's Office-

Aizawa trembles as he looks at the list of students in his class. He knows that he would get less and less sleep as time goes on. Almost all the troublesome students are in his class. Endeavor's child, the hot-headed from the exam, the fragile kid, and the young boss of the yakuza. The more he thinks about it, the more he wants to take another class as his advisory class.

--April--

Araki is getting ready for school. He is tying his hair to a ponytail and wearing the uniform issued by the school. He is also wearing the six bracelets in his arm over the uniform. He took his bag and left very early in the morning because he plans to visit his grandfather before going to school.

Later, he reaches U.A. and looked for his classroom. He saw the big door with signs 1-A and big 1-A on the side of the door. There are currently 2 students in the room. A girl with long black hair and the blue-haired guy from the exam. He looked for a sit put down his bag. Suddenly, the blue-haired guy from the exam walks to him and greets him.

"Good morning! My name is Tenya Iida and I am from Somei Private Academy. I hope we have a good year." Iida says as he offers his hand for a handshake. Araki shakes his hand back and introduces himself.

"My name is Araki Yamamoto and I am from Nagano prefecture. I do hope we have a wonderful year. How about you miss with the beautiful hair." He says as he looks in the girl's direction.

The latter replied, "Me?"

"Oh no, no, no. It's me, I do have beautiful hair though." Araki swipes his hair and adds, "I'm just kidding. I'm talking about you." The girl pauses a bit and introduces herself to them.

"I am Momo Yaoyorozu and I came from Aichi prefecture."

After introducing themselves to each other, students start to arrive one by one and most of them introduce themselves to the others.
