It Was Pathetic, Really

"Oh, you almost had it!" April's voice groaned. "Try again!"

"…I'm never going to get this," Jasper sighed.

"Come on, don't give up yet! This was your idea in the first place. You've got this!"

Levi wasn't sure what exactly they were trying to do but he was willing to bet it had something to do with a trampoline based on the noises and the fact that he had seen what looked suspiciously like long curly brown hair briefly popping up above the fence line a few times.

"I think I'm too tall for this," Jasper said.

"There are some gymnasts who are over six feet! If they can do it so can you," April encouraged.

Gymnasts? What on earth were they doing?

"I'm way past 'over six feet', April," Jasper pointed out but seemed to do as she said because the springs were creaking again. "You're the one who said I'm a human mountain."

April sighed. "…you're never going to let that go, are you?"

"Maybe not. It was really funny."
