Having someone come over simply to read with them was even better than Whitney expected it to be. She felt perfectly relaxed sitting next to Isaac on the couch despite the fact that she was used to sprawling with her knees up as she read at home.

She ended up gravitating that way naturally but, once she realized it, she didn't bother moving. She was perfectly comfortable where she was.

Though this could barely be counted as cuddling, she would take it. She had missed being able to do things like this. Brad hadn't been the most affectionate as their relationship went on.

And it did turn into real cuddling eventually when Isaac hesitantly put his arm around her. She was able to move closer that way and had to hold back a contented sigh. This was nice. She could stand to do more of this.
