That Wasn't The Sort Of Person He Was

"You're going to be gone for a week?" Delia asked the next day at lunch.

Simon had just pulled a few recently completed origami projects out of his briefcase to show her and she had been rather impressed. That made him feel good. Somehow, the subject had gone from origami to weekend plans, hence her question.

"Yes. My family and I are going to Disney World since the kids are on winter break."

Her eyes nearly popped out of her head. "You have kids?!"

"These are my relatives' children," he said evasively. "I am quite unattached. But we're all going now because the timing works out best for them."

"Oh. How many people are going?"

"…a lot."

Even Simon wasn't exactly sure of the number. Danielle had booked everything for him. But he did know that she had to book an entire Disney hotel in order to fit everyone. He had an awful lot of relatives and knew and loved each one of them.
