I had completely recovered before the night was over. What happened that day wasn't that different from the drill at Rhodes Island. Instructor Dobermann's drill could be said to be pretty harsh.
I relaxed and walked a bit after waking up in the morning. This was the first time I woke up in the morning on a ship like this. On days with a glorious, sun-soaked morning that feels a bit refreshing after yesterday's fight, I looked at the sea that turned golden.
In this ship, there was us Rhodes Island Operations Reserve Team A1 with a logistic team that helped us in this mission to defeat the Sirens and took the resources. I could see Fang working out on other side ships.
"She is really a hard working girl. Huh…" I whispered to myself. No wonder that she became this leader in the game. When I thought no one would hear my mumbling. Someone spoke to me.
"Yes, she is…." It was a girl with purple hair, purple eyes, pointed ears, and a horn in her head. In her hand, there was a book with something like eyes on the cover.
"Oh… Is that you, Lava? You wake up early..." I responded. She looked around before talking.
"Um… I ran away from someone."
"Ah… your sister? So What is she doing this time?"
"Um… Healthy food.. I guess?" Lava's face started to pale as she answered my question... That made me wonder what the hell food Hibiscus gave her last time.
"Well, that sounds bad."
Honestly, Hibiscus was a nice girl, but she was the worst cook ever. Maybe...
I meant what she called coffee without caffeinated or hamburger without meat, cheese, pickles, or lettuce ain't that just a bread… What a weird girl.
"I will help you this time…." I told Lava, who had a bright face when she heard that I had helped her. Well, at least… I could handle her food once in a while, not like Lava, who had it nearly every day.
"Really, Captain… Thank you. As a thank you, how about I tell you your fortune." Lava offered her hobby to me. If I wasn't wrong, her fortune was pretty accurate. I was rather curious, but I didn't want to know about it at the same time.
"Well, How about we do that after we finish this mission?"
"Ah… Okay. That sounds good too."
After that short conversation, I saw her sister find us and walk toward us.
"Captain! What are you doing with my sister? Is she starting to act all bossy with you? She needs my treatment before we go on a mission again!" Hibiscus barraged me with a lot of questions as she talked fast too.
"No, she is fine. We talked about how Fang is such a hard working girl." I answered while pointing at Fang, who was still doing light exercise.
"Oh… She really is… Maybe she needed my treatment too." Hibiscus agreed with my statement.
"That's why. How about you give her your healthy food?" I told her my opinion, but Hibiscus looked at her sisters.
"But this is for my sister..."
"Look, Fang must be feeling more hungry. I think it will be good to eat something healthy after doing exercise. Also, it had been a long time for me to eat something healthy." I grabbed Hibiscus and turned her toward Fang.
"You're eating too… Captain!" Hibiscus said with a happy tone.'
She looked pleased.
"Yeah, of course. So what is on this breakfast menu?" I asked her.
"This will be good for you, Captain. A salad comprised of 12 different vegetables!" She answered with such vigor.
"That sounds good. So how about we go there… Lava will be fine without a healthy breakfast for once in a while." I pushed her far away for Lava, who looked relieved when I took her sister away.
In the end, Fang and I ate weird healthy food made by Hibiscus, who became more passionate after she knew I would eat her cooking. Fang stared at me really hard while eating those salads.
I'm sorry, Fang. I will treat you to something delicious from the Rhodes Island shop next time. I thought that after I made her eat something weird this morning.

Point E was quite far away from the ships but still close enough from Point D that had been defeated by our group. Unlike yesterday, on the second day, our target was to harvest three points. Honestly, It was pretty tiring.
"Ugh… I wanted to finish it quickly… take a bath and sleep…." Kroos complained as she came down from her place and told me. "Point E is clear, Captain."
Even so, she was still doing a good job. Since we were a bit more tired than yesterday, I didn't send Fang to scout around the area. We walked together, so a bit slower than I liked, but I chose safety after all.
Just like any other Point, the Sirens immediately came after we activated the Sanity Devices. Kroos immediately shot the Originium Slug that was walking toward us. While Fang waited for them and thrust her spear when they were in her range attack. Even though this was our third battlefield, Fang still fought in prime condition.
Since I was copying Skadia, the sword in my hand was heavy, thick, long, and huge. It was massive. Far too massive. So oversized that… A clump of metal was undoubtedly too heavy for any human to swing. But, in this world… This was a well-honed blade.
"You've done more than enough, Fang. Fall back!." As I could use the Arts. I moved forward, my foot sank into the ground, and I stepped forth, kicking hard against the ground beneath to press on.
The sword I held swung hard as it sliced through the wind.
It came down, the earth crumbling beneath it. When I did this, the scene Skadi did was always in my mind. Unlike me, who was still in the base level, Skadi was one of Rhodes Island on the maximal level. She was in Elite 2 Level 90. Her power was something I hoped that someday I could do something like that.
I thrust my greatsword into the closest Sirens. Many Sirens were moving toward me, but they usually went after Sanity Devices rather than the operators unless we blocked them.
Such a low intelligence that was somewhat weird. But for me, It was such a convenient trait, but such a problem too. The only Sirens that attack operators were the Sirens with a ranged attack.
In the game, the Originium Slug attack looked like it just bumped us. But, honestly, in this world… They attack us with some spit that really hurts. It was like acid.
This world warfare kinda was weird. It would be easy to fight while evading these attacks, but the problem was just like I said before. These Sirens just went to Sanity Devices. Just like they knew that we would be in danger without it. So it was a dangerous move to evade them.
Maybe they were not that stupid after all.
Also, the attack from aerial Sirens hurt too… And why are we fine after receiving so many attacks? It was because we had Arts. The HP that we had was just like a shield. After HP was zero, we would be like paper then cut by sharp scissors. This was why Sanity Devices were such convenient Devices. Since they had safety tools too. We could withdraw to the Sanity Devices and heal our bodies. It was just that we needed more time to redeploy after doing that.
It's just like in the game. But it wasn't safe either. Since it was not like in the game, there was a time that Arts Users still died even though they withdrew.
Honestly, this HP system was exceptionally helpful, and the healing arts were awesome.
It was hard work, but still, this last point on the second day was a one-sided fight after all. It couldn't even be called a battle. But, a massacre.
