Expedition: Flames of War
The expedition army travels for a week to just to reach the base of their operation
"SOLDIERS HALT!" Army officers shouts when Astrid stop.
Seeing the grand giant wall in front of them the expeditions soldiers stare at awe.
"We're here. Tell the soldiers to rest and tell to the others Commanders to follow me in the operation center." Astrid orders to one of her deputy commander.
"Yes commander!" The deputy commander salute and leave.
-- Operation Center --
Inside the operation center the three lord commanders are looking at the map with grim expression of their face.
"We are losing!"
"D*mmit what's going on here?"
"The enemy are..."
*Knock! knock! knock!*
"Lord Commanders, Astrid commander of the reinforcement has arrived." A soldier knocks at door.
The eyes of three lord commanders sparkles when they heard the name of their reinforcement commander.
Astrid enters the war council building. She sees the three lord commanders smiling widely while looking at her.
"Princess of the Battlefield, Astrid! You're still gorgeous as always!" The fat lord commander, Biley says.
"We can win this war if you are here Astrid. Thank you for aiding us." Says the muscular lord commander, Roger.
"Princess, Thank you for coming... This war might be a hard one to win." The head of the three lord commanders, Armstrong says.
"Astrid, head commander of the expedition army reporting!" Astrid remove her helmet and salute at them.
"At ease... Come here Astrid look at their formation." Armstrong call Astrid to look at the map, where their army and the enemy army placed.
"The enemy are different from the past. They usually attacking straight to our walls but this time they doing unexpectedly ambushes and skirmishes.
They attacking mostly at night causing our soldiers to wake up and defend our walls but after a moment they will retreat and do it again on the next evening...
Your soldiers are on high morale, well fed and well rested. So I'm requesting to change our wall defend using some of your army...
I'll assigning your army here, here and here." Armstrong explaining what's happening and points where Astrid army should be posted the other two nods in approval.
*Knock! knock! knock!*
"Lord commanders the other reinforcement commanders has arrived." The soldier says.
"Let them in." Armstrong response.
"Roy... Luke... Brian... Steven... reporting for duty!" Four of them salutes.
"At ease... Come here we'll explain the events of war." Armstrong says.
After two hours of their war council meeting, they successfully formulate an ingenious plan that might win the war.
The three silvers knights and their battalion will defend their wall. Astrid battalion will face the attacking enemies while Roy will use the forest to avoid the enemies and attack enemy's camp as soon as possible.
The plan result will be were depending how long Astrid's army will hold their ground.
-- Army Camp inside the walls --
Astrid and the other knights gives the armies some falls information. Predicting that there are some spies within their ranks.
While Astrid and the other knights explain the details on their armies. Astrid's deputy suddenly whisper to her "Commander I detected a faint telepathy magic within one kilometer."
Astrid quickly use whispers to Roy and the other knights to organized their armies and start the formation.
Astrid command her deputy and the other mage to use their cancelling magic covering their expedition armies.
"WRITE!... Spirit of light let us borrow your power... MAGIC DISPEL!" At least one hundred of mage write their magic on air at the same time and casts it."
A transparent color covers the whole expedition army. One of the soldier within their ranks start to distort and changes to a hideous monster.
"God speed..." Astrid suddenly disappears where she's standing and appear behind the monster. She quickly beheaded the monster.
"FORMATION!" Astrid commands in loud voice.
"FORMATION!... FORMATION!..." The others knights follows up.
When suddenly a bright light shows outside their border "COMMANDERS! The enemies have mages their combining their fire spell!" A soldier on the wall shouts.
"How many are they?"
"At least a thousand commander."
Astrid quickly commands "Mages use water shield spell!".
"Hah! WRITE!... Spirit of water let us borrow your power. Water shield!" Two thousands mage soldiers walks on the front and write the spell at the same time.
A giant fireball as big as their building coming towards them but the same time the shield spell casted. A giant water shield cover the walls like a curtain with a height of two times of the walls.
When the giant fireball and the giant water shield connects. Mist was created causing the vision of the army reduce.
'Three of you protect the lord commanders.' Commanding the silver knights using whisper.
'Hah!' They vanish on their places and go to their lord commanders.
'Roy, I think they have a demon commander. This kind of ambush is not possible with low ranks demons.
'I think so too. They'll try to finish us right now.' Roy response on the whisper.
'Be prepared it'll be a bloodbath. Help our soldiers to survive as many as you can ok?' Astrid whisper.
'Yes head commander.' Roy quickly leave and command.
-- Arthur's POV --
When Astrid beheaded the monster "Whoaa I can't see her at all! What a speed Astrid."
"FORMATION! FORMATION... FORMATION!" Arthur hears the commands and follow. His heart beats rapidly while seeing the events happening to him.
"Mages use water shield spell!" Astrid commands.
Arthur tried to write his spell. Following the writing spell guide but the soldiers writing is much faster than him causing his spell to be cancelled 'Tsk I need more training for spell writing'.
While he lose in thought the giant fireball and water shield connects and generate a mist reducing his vision.
"What's happening!"
"I can't see!"
"Mommy I'm scared!"
The newly graduate soldiers panicking and shouting causing havoc among the rank.
"Mages use gale! Infantries into defense position! Cavaliers back off!.. Don't be scared! Princess of the Battlefield is here with you! No one can win against me!" Arthur hears continuous commands coming from Astrid.
Astrid stats are showing it's affecting the soldiers around her.
"WRITE!... Spirit of wind please lend us your strength. GALE!" Mages use their spells.
"Hoooh!! Shield up!... Shield up!... Shield up!" Infantries with shield takes the vanguard and place their shield in front of them".
Arthur also follow the command and place himself at the back of a vanguard soldier and prepares to counterattack .
