Berserk

Like a sharp wind slash, Ray's blade struck through the air and slashed the three beasts into two. The rest of the beasts were shocked but soon they lost their rationality as they leapt towards Ray in an attempt to bite a chunk of flesh from his limbs.

Ray dashed relentlessly and slashed with his blade again and again. But to the large colony of mutated demon cats, his killings were minimal as there was more than fifty low level with multiple high-level beasts gathered together.

Ray was worried for his friends. Even though he could madly charge through them and kill with his heart's content but that was not the case for others.

"Fall back and kill the low-level beasts which I miss out. Don't charge recklessly!" yelled Ray.

Suddenly a black shadow appeared in the distance and charged towards his friends at an astonishing speed.

Ray had just killed a dozen of demon beasts and before he could react, the black shadow had already passed beyond his defence perimeter, appearing in front of Nathan.

Nathan's face turned pale and he took a step back.

Clang!!

The sound of metal clashing against metal echoed loudly as he hastily used his blade to defend the razor-sharp claw of the beast as his mouth overflow with blood. Nathan finally couldn't hold back as he was thrown over by 10 metres by the blast.

"Roar!!"

The bloodthirsty beast roared madly as its eyes glowed with a sinister glint.

"Nathan!!"

Ray fumed as he violently kicked the low-level beasts in front of him and madly dashed towards Nathan, killing low-level beasts that obstructed his way!

"Die!! Die!! Die!!" roared Ray as some level 2 beasts leapt towards him to delay his movements.

Swoosh!

Boom!

The sharp light of the blade showed as it followed through the forehead of the level 2 beast leaping towards him as its body fell on the ground, cut into halves.

"Good timing!"

Ray immediately felt his strength soaring as he clenched his blade and dashed towards Nathan.

While Lucas was now defending the bloodthirsty beast to protect Nathan, he was also in a dire situation. Seeing Ray arrive, he heaved a sigh of relief and he retreated with Nathan.

"Kill the low-level beasts, I will take care of this!" yelled Ray as he clashed with that bloodthirsty beast. As he inspected it with his skill, he found it a level 5 mutated cat.

"No wonder it's so strong!" exclaimed Ray as he was forced to step back a few steps from their clash.

The level 5 beast was incredibly faster and its sharp claws almost grazed open the skin of his arm. Moreover, as it could wield fire attribute, it had an advantage over Ray. Its claws were like scythes trying to tear his arms apart.

"Hmph!" snorted Ray as he kept his blade aside and violently punched its abdomen. After improving his level his body was still the best source of strength.

Boom!

"Roar!!"

The vile beast didn't have time to counter as the punch accurately landed on its abdomen and crushed its bone.

"Grr!!" it growled as it ignored the pain and waved its claws imbued with fire elements towards Ray.

Ray hastily dodged the attack when the beast suddenly disappeared from the place it was a moment ago.

Fast! It was incredibly fast!

Ray's pupil dilated as he subconsciously bend on his right side supporting his body on his right leg, gathering momentum, as he suddenly moved and punched out to his left with all his might.

Bang!

The claws of the beast clashed with his fist when suddenly the beast moved its hind limbs and violently kicked in his rib cage.

"Arghhh!!"

Ray was thrown back as he crashed to a nearby wall. He vomited a mouthful of blood as he ignored the pain and once again clashed with the beast. His eyes showed excitement with the newfound strength as he vented his power on the bloodthirsty demon beast.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Both of them were equally matched as Ray entered berserk state. He was almost a bloodied man with numerous broken bones on his shoulder and hands. Still, like a machine, he collided with the beast with the aim to kill it.

"Roar!!"

The beast growled and it finally felt fear. It swiftly turned around and tried to run away.

Ray sneered as he narrowed his eyes and as he placed one foot on the edge of the debris and lunged forward with all his strength. He grabbed the tail of the beast and madly crashed it on surrounding buildings.

Boom!!

Crash!!

The buildings tore into pieces by the clash as Ray finally threw it towards a tall building. Giving it no time, Ray vanished like a shadow as he appeared beside the badly battered but still tenacious demon beast and rained down punched on it.

Crack..crack...bang..bang..

The beast growled as its bone broke after one ofter another under his punches and it looked at Ray sinisterly as it struggle to wave its fiery claw towards Ray.

"Heh! Just die!" sneered Ray as grabbed it by its limbs and forcefully tore its limbs apart.

"Roar!!"

The beast let out a roar of pain and resentment as Ray finally punched its head, breaking it apart.

Huff..huff...huff...

Ray breathed heavily as he saw the beast taking its last breath!

"Berserk state is it? It's cool!!" laughed Ray.

"Oops!" exclaimed Ray as joined his friends to finish off the remaining beasts.

Even though most level 1and level 2 beasts were killed, there were still level 3 beasts that hindered his friends.

Ray waved his long blade as it swiftly streaked past through air and beheaded the beasts one after another. All those beasts had no chance to retaliate or flee as they died brutally on his blade.

Ray finally heaved a sigh of relief as he cleared all the level 3 beasts and slumped on the ground mercilessly.

"Ray!!!"
