CHAPTER 6

She was sitting in her tent. She still couldn't believe that she told everything about her life to a complete stranger, to a person whom she just met yesterday. But a part of her didn't regret that.

Luna still remember that day when she was getting kicked out of her house.

(MINI FLASHBACK) - violence

"You b*tch! How dare you talking back to me?" Her stepfather growled at her while taking his belt off.

"I.... I am sorr..." But without listening, he lands his belt over her back. And after that he didn't stop, infact he continuosly beated her with his belt.

She was screaming in pain but that man didn't showed her any mercy. Her stepmother was sitting on her rocking chair sipping her cup of tea. She seems to be enjoying what was happening. How cruel!

Her stepfather grabbed her by hair and dragged her to their house door, her stepmother went to her cupboard and picked her stuff and throw it towards her. "Here, take your things and get out of my house." Her stepmother screamed.

"But.....but mom where I'll ...go?" She sobbed.

"I don't know and to be honest I also don't care. I cursed that day when we adopted you. She spat.

Luna didn't know where to go. She roamed door to door to ask for help. At last after two or three days, she decided to look for a job and luckily she got a part time job in a cafe.

"Hello! Is anyone here?" She asked.

A woman most probably in her thirty's came and asked " Yes, may I know what do you want?" She smiled.

"Actually I am looking for a job. Can you give me one? I swear I'll do anything like washing utensils or serving or whatever you want me to do" Luna pleaded.

The woman stared at her for a moment and then said, "Okay, you can start from tomorrow. All you have to do is just attending customers and ask them what they want."

"Thank you so much ma'am"

"You can call me Anna" the woman replied.

"Umm. Ok Anna." Luna smiled.

After that Luna went in search of a house. She had saved some money about which her parents didn't know. She knew she couldn't afford a luxury flat with that, but she also didn't needed one. She just wanted a shelter above her head.

A tear rolled down her cheeks as she thought about her past years.

Suddenly she heard some footsteps and immediately she pretended to sleep. She doesn't want to face Valerius at least not now when he knows about her vulnerability.

When Valerius came, he found Luna sleeping. She thinks that he would believe her, he knew that she was pretending. Without saying he went to lay facing the other side. " Stop pretending to sleep." His heavy voice echoed in the darkness. "What should I do then?" She asked still tears dripping from her eyes.

"I have an offer for you" He said.

" Hmmm? What offer?" She asked turning, facing his back.

" I have a huge apartment, you can live there." Valerius said. Luna couldn't believe her ears. He was asking her to live with him. As if he could read her thoughts he said, "I am not asking, I am offering you cause I know that it's hard for you to pay your rents."

He was right. It is really difficult to manage her life with what she is earning. His offer was tempting but was it right. She barely know him. " How can I trust you?" She spoke.

" It depends on you. " He replied.

Oh God, why he have to be so damn confusing. She is already confused and he is getting into her skin by his replies.

Finally she decided to accept his offer.

" I accept your offer but I'll not leave my job. I would still like to earn some money for my future." She said firmly. " Ok, you can move in after this camp."

" Okay." She replied and went to sleep.

Valerius gave her this offer only to keep a close eye on her, he wanted to know is he was really her, and if she is, then she is in a great danger.

At night, Luna heard some sounds coming from outside. She turned to look at Valerius but to her suprise he was not there. ' Where did he gone at this time of the night? '

Suddenly a loud voice came from outside, like a animal is growling in pain. She finally decided to step outside of the tent and what she saw was just beyond her imagination.

There was a beautiful white wolf, well maybe not full white cause his fur was red. And it was not natural red, there was BLOOD. Luna panicked at the seen of blood pool which surrounded the white wolf. Hearing her scream, the wolf turned to her and started walking towards her. Before she could understand what was going on, a huge figure came and stood between the two.

It was Valerius. Although she was facing his back, it was not hard to guess who was he. "Val..." Before Luna could complete, he spoke, "Run"

Luna got surprised at his word. How was she supposed to run leaving him behind. "But y..."

" I said run." Loud houls started to echo and listening to them, the beautiful white fox run from where the houls were coming. Luna couldn't even think straight when Valerius turned around. Luna felt like her heart will burst by calculating the speed by which it was beating. There was scratch on his face and blood was seeping out from it. His eyes were red and fangs were out. Wait..What???? Fangs?? How the hell could he have fangs.

Suddenly something hard hit her head and she fell on ground unconsciously. " Was that a beast?" Raymond asked
