"Look, I know this isn't easy for you," Jax said.
"You have no idea what this is like for me," I said, pointing my finger in his face. "So don't you dare stand there and tell me you know how I'm feeling or what I'm going through. And don't you dare tell me it's going to be okay." My hand trembled, and I dropped it immediately.
"If anything happens to you, Trent will never forgive me," Jax said. "Hell, I'd never forgive me. I'm trying to find him and keep you safe."
I snorted. "You're not trying to find him. You and everyone else sit around talking and planning. Why aren't you out looking for him?" I paced away from him, my blood reaching its boiling point.
"Because we have no idea where to start looking," Jax said, frustration erupting from his tone.
I whipped around, heart thundering. "Or maybe you just don't want to." I tilted my head. "Maybe you're not trying to find him because you really don't want him to come home."
